Focus Features is set to partner with writer/director Paul Thomas Anderson on his untitled new film.  Anderson and Focus Features collaborated on his last feature Phantom Thread, which garnered 6 Academy Award® nominations including Best Picture, Director for Anderson, Actor for Daniel Day-Lewis, Supporting Actress for Lesley Manville, Score for Jonny Greenwood and Costume Design for Mark Bridges, which he went on to win.  Longtime collaborators JoAnne Sellar and Daniel Lupi will produce this new project along with Anderson.

Grammy and Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson stopped by TODAY on Monday morning to talk about being one of the stars in the highly-anticipated Cats film, in theaters this Friday! 

Today, the the full tracklisting for Cats: Highlights From The Motion Picture Soundtrack was announced! The highly-anticipated soundtrack will be released Friday, December 20, alongside the film, which is directed by Oscar®-winning filmmaker Tom Hooper (Les Misérables, The King's Speech), and stars James Corden, Judi Dench, Jason Derulo, Idris Elba, Jennifer Hudson, Ian McKellen, Taylor Swift, Rebel Wilson and introduces Royal Ballet principal dancer Francesca Hayward.

Celine Dion visited the CATS tour in Toronto and met up with the cast following a performance at Toronto's Princess of Wales Theatre last night! Dion famously covered the show's anthem, Memory, in a televised 1987 performance featuring full cat costume and makeup! Check out video of that performance and photos of her visit below!

The Fountain Theatre is gearing up to present the world premiere of a new play written and directed by company co-artistic director Stephen Sachs (Arrival & Departure, Citizen: An American Lyric, Cyrano). Casting is now complete for Human Interest Story, a timely drama about homelessness, celebrity worship and the assault on American journalism, with the opening date set for Feb. 15, 2020.

The Scottish painter and printmaker Charles Hodge Mackie (1862-1920) was one of the most versatile artists of his generation. Drawing inspiration from French Symbolism, the Celtic Revival movement and the landscapes of his European travels, he produced oil paintings, watercolours, murals, woodblock prints, book illustrations and sculpture. This major retrospective, timed to coincide with the centenary of Mackie's death, showcases the breadth of his talents, with over 50 artworks from public and private collections. Charles H. Mackie: Colour and Light is presented as part of Edinburgh Art Festival 2020.

Casting has been announced for The Wallis and For The Record's production of LOVE ACTUALLY LIVE, the multimedia concert celebration of one of the most beloved holiday films of all time and the biggest, record-breaking hit in The Wallis' history, which is back by popular demand, now as a not-to-be-missed Los Angeles tradition with performances beginning the day before Thanksgiving (November 27) and running through the weekend following Christmas (December 29). Rebel Wilson stopped by The Late Late Show with James Corden to talk about her upcoming film CATS, in which host Corden also co-stars.

Francesca Hayward was a guest on Thursday's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live to talk about starring in the highly-anticipated Cats movie. During the interview, Hayward talks being a Principal Dancer for the Royal Ballet, being in the movie Cats, the most surreal day of her life with Taylor Swift, and having a cat behavioral coach.

In a new interview, CATS film director, Tom Hooper, has revealed that changes were made to the film's visual effects and character design following the swift and divisive backlash to the film's first trailer.

 HBO Max, the upcoming direct-to-consumer offering from WarnerMedia, will be the exclusive U.S. home of the period drama, Boys (working title), in partnership with Britain's Channel 4. Principal photography on the project began in October and is scheduled to air in the UK in 2020.

Paramount Network announced today the additional casting of series regulars Adriana Paz, Kristyan Ferrer, Octavio Pisano, Cynthia Kaye McWilliams and Julio Cedillo in its new scripted drama series Coyote. Coyote, which stars Emmy(R) Award-winning Michael Chiklis and Juan Pablo Raba, comes to Paramount Network from MacLaren Entertainment, Dark Horse Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television. The series is scheduled to premiere in 2020.

Comedy Central today announced that Blake Griffin, professional basketball star and accomplished Roaster, will host '31 Days of Holiday Survival,' a month of programming dedicated to getting you through the holidays with your sanity intact. As host, Griffin will star in interstitial sketches complementing '31 Days' programming on Comedy Central, with additional content rolling out on social and digital platforms throughout the month. Sundance Institute today named the global cohort of independent nonfiction film projects that comprise its latest Documentary Fund Grantees, including specialized grants administered by The Kendeda Fund and the Stories of Change Fund.

As BroadwayWorld reported earlier this month, rumors have been circulating that  the upcoming Cats film will miss multiple awards deadlines for this upcoming award season. Members of the New York Film Critics were told that it wouldn't see the film before mid-December, meaning that it would miss the deadlines for the Golden Globes, which has its final screening on December 4, National Board of Review, which announces its winners December 3, the SAG Awards, which close nominations on December 8. Now according to Variety, the film will indeed meet the early deadlines. Members of the Hollywood Foreign Press will see the film in early December.

After a most successful run last December, For The Record's LOVE ACTUALLY LIVE encores at The Wallis beginning November 27, 2019. FTR pairs the actual screening of the 2003 perennial holiday hit film Love Actually with live singers and a 15-piece orchestra on stage complementing the movie's soundtrack.
