LoNyLa, a network, creative lab and producing organization that links artists globally, announced today that seven plays, two screenplays and one television pilot will be developed in VELOCITY LAB 2012. Director Jake Witlen will announce two more new plays in Berlin today, Sept. 28.

AMC announced today the greenlight of a new unscripted original series ROAD SHOW (working title), created and executive produced by Laurie Girion (CHEERLEADER NATION, WELCOME TO SWEETIE PIES") and Storyvision Entertainment and distributed internationally by Sony Pictures Television. ROAD SHOW organizes competitions in small towns across the country, featuring local talent who get the chance of a lifetime to be in the spotlight.

Working Title Films and Big Talk Productions have commenced filming on THE WORLD'S END, the third installment of Edgar Wright's trilogy of comedies, following the successes Shaun of the Dead (2004) and Hot Fuzz (2007).

TNT has renewed its hit original series MAJOR CRIMES, the year's #1 new cable drama. TNT has ordered 15 episodes of the Warner Bros. Television crime drama, which features two-time Oscar(R) nominee Mary McDonnell leading an outstanding ensemble cast.

On Christmas Day, the highly anticipated film version of Les Miserables hits the big screen, and according to producer Cameron Mackintosh, there might be another Boublil & Schonberg musical coming soon after. According to Ohnotheydidint, Mackintosh recently revealed: "If Les Mis is a success then Miss Saigon will be made into a film. It isn't confirmed at this point but there are many people sniffing around and offers coming in."

CMT has given the green light to DOG (working title), a new unscripted series that showcases Dog the Bounty Hunter and Beth Chapman's journey into the American heartland to help fellow bail bondsmen and bounty hunters struggling with their business of catching fugitives on the lam. CMT has ordered ten, one-hour episodes of the series from Ben Silverman's multimedia entertainment studio Electus. Dog and Beth will star in and executive-produce the series which is set to begin production in early 2013 and will premiere Spring/Summer 2013 on CMT.

Production is now under way for TNT's Monday Mornings, a powerful new series from award-winning producer David E. Kelley (Ally McBeal, Chicago Hope) and practicing neurosurgeon and CNN chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta, on whose book the series is based. TNT has ordered 10 episodes for the first season of Monday Mornings, which is slated to premiere in early 2013.
