James Corden to Star in Upcoming Film SCHOOL FOR SANTAS

Deadline reports that Tony Award-winner James Corden is set to lead the cast of Working Title's upcoming film SCHOOL FOR SANTAS. The project will reunite the 'One Man, Two Guvnors' star with playwright Richard Bean, who will pen the script. A director on the film has not yet been chosen.

The highly anticipated film adaptation of Les Misérables hits theaters on Christmas Day, and you can order the soundtrack on December 25 as well: according to Amazon.com, Universal Republic records will be releasing the recording, featuring Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne, Aaron Tveit, Samantha Barks, with Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen.

The Producers Guild of America (PGA) is pleased to announce that Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner, co-chairmen of Working Title Films, will receive the 2013 David O. Selznick Achievement Award in Theatrical Motion Pictures. The award recognizes a producer's, or a producing team's, outstanding body of work and is the PGA's highest honor for motion picture producers.

Tickets for Cameron Mackintosh's new 25th anniversary production of Les Miserables will go on sale Dec. 3, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. for the Sacramento engagement at Community Center Theater, which runs from May 29 - June 9, 2013. The all new production of Les Miserables features glorious new staging and spectacular reimagined scenery inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo. Tickets for Les Miserables are currently available only by purchasing a Broadway Sacramento season ticket.

The initial line-up of organizations that will present 2012 OBIE Award-winning playwright Caridad Svich's new play Spark has been announced. This work, which is about a family of sisters who live in North Carolina, one of whom is a returning veteran from a recent war, is being made available for local presentations during the month of November (and selected venues in October) in time for Veteran's Day and around the national US elections.
