An adaptation of the Tony and Olivier award-winning musical, Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical tells the story of Matilda Wormwood (Alisha Weir), a little girl with big curiosity, a sharp mind and a vivid imagination — and the worst parents in the world. The film will also include Emma Thompson, Lashana Lynch, Stephen Graham and Andrea Riseborough.

Clutch Productions has announced their third new play commission that engages a collaborative, interdisciplinary framework for development. Helmed by Mêlisa Annis (playwright/director/producer), Christianne Greiert (actor/dramaturg/producer), and Vanessa Morosco (director/dramaturg/ethicist), the generated play - working title ME - will explore a spectrum of women and their narratives through the lens of Time.

From July 29 to August 28, Essential Theatre is presenting its 23rd Festival with the world premieres of two plays and four staged readings, all by Georgia playwrights. The Outrage Machine, written by Daniel Carter Brown and directed by Peter Hardy, opens Friday, July 28, 2022 at 8pm at the West End Performing Arts Center.

The Royal Shakespeare Company has refreshed its education activity for Matilda The Musical to include a comprehensive planning guide for schools. The new guide, developed in close consultation with teachers, includes everything needed to plan, book and take a school trip to the Cambridge Theatre.

Expanding upon the expansive symbiosis that characterized the first two singles from New Pleasures, 'Le Palace' is a pulsing, futuristic, punky nightclub mix. Though named after the infamous Parisian “boîte au disco” (re: nightclub), “Le Palace” is not, in fact, a tribute to the club in question. 

The upcoming film adaptation of Matilda the Musical will open this year’s BFI London Film Festival. The annual festival is scheduled for October 5-16.

Netflix, Higher Ground, and independent studio, wiip announced the cast of BODKIN (wt) their first drama series today, which will start production in Ireland next week. Will Forte, Siobhan Cullen,  Robyn Cara, David Wilmot,  and Chris Walley are set to star in the seven episode, darkly comedic thriller.
