Rubicon Theatre Company continues its 2010-2011 Season with the World Premiere of Lonesome Traveler, a musical event that takes audiences on a journey down the rivers and streams of American Folk Music -- from the hills of Appalachia to the nightclubs of San Francisco and New York; from the 1920s to the 1960s.

An Evening with Woody Guthrie: The Columbia River Songs is presented by Folk Sessions and is performed by Carl Allen of The Wanderers. Special Guests, Three-Legged Dog, a Bluegrass trio, will open the show. Proceeds from the performance goes to support the Coalition for Compassion and Justice (CCJC).

Cinnabar Theater presents 'Woody Guthrie's American Song' featuring songs and writings by Woody Guthrie and conceived and adapted by Peter Glazer. This stirring musical journey follows legendary singer-songwriter Woody Guthrie on the cross country travels which inspired his songs about American life and events during the Great Depression and Dust Bowl era. Featuring over two dozen of Woody Guthrie's most famous ballads and folk songs including 'Bound for Glory' and 'This Land Is Your Land.'

In January 2009 at the inauguration of Barack Obama, Pete Seeger joyfully led a crowd of hundreds of thousands in singing 'This Land Is Your Land'. The spirit of that song's writer, American Folk legend Woody Guthrie is celebrated in the new musical, Woody Sez, which blasts onto the stage of the Arts Theatre this January.
