The Emelin Theatre, located in Mamaroneck, New York, and founded in 1972, is the oldest continuously operating performing arts theater in Westchester County. Its mission is to bring the best in live performing arts to Westchester and other nearby communities and to promote a cultural life that entertains, educates, and invigorates. The Emelin, well-known for its high-quality and affordable programs, is one of the few performing arts venues in this region which offers a broad mix of entertainment appealing to all ages and tastes, produces its own theater performances, and attracts diverse audiences throughout Westchester County and beyond. Due to its strategic location in centrAl Westchester, the Emelin also attracts theatergoers from New York City, New Jersey, and lower Connecticut.

Spalding Gray: Stories Left to Tell | $40

Words by Spalding Gray. Concept by Kathleen Russo. Directed by Lucy Sexton.
Spalding Gray wrote timeless monologues whose words resonated deeply with audiences. In Spalding Gray: Stories Left to Tell, an ensemble cast performs excerpts from both renowned and never-before-seen work to launch the audience into the hilarious, heartbreaking, and remarkable life and career of one of the most irreverent and revered storytellers of our time.

The Human Resources Manager | $15

A tragi-comedy centered on the HR manager of Israel's largest industrial bakery, who sets out to save the reputation of his business and prevent the publication of a defamatory article. This Hebrew language film won the Ophir Award (the Israeli Oscar) for Best Picture.

Big winners at 2010 IBMA, Daily & Vincent won 5 awards, including Entertainer of the Year for the third consecutive year!

IBMA Entertainers of the Year in 2008, 2009 and 2010, this band has it all: superb vocals, hot picking, and personality to spare. After many years performing with Doyle Lawson and Ricky Skaggs, respectively, Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent launched this band in 2007 amid extraordinary anticipatory buzz, which has been more than justified. Their music ranges from bluegrass gospel to the Statler Brothers, incorporating the best of traditional and modern bluegrass.

At this performance, the Emelin will be honoring Bluegrass series curator Arnie Fleischer in recognition of all of his hard work and dedication to the Emelin Theatre and the greater bluegrass community!

One Angry Man | $15

Jackie Mason will introduce the film and there will be a Q&A with the director following the screening.
Modeled after the stage and screen production Twelve Angry Men, the film One Angry Man is the courtroom dram-edy starring Jackie Mason as himself. A teenager is on trial for murder and it falls on a jury made up of a very colorful cast of characters to decide his fate, with Jackie causing chaos every step of the way!

Patty Larkin | $30

Patty Larkin redefines the boundaries of folk-urban pop music with her inventive guitar wizardry and uncompromising vocals and lyrics. Winding her way through soundscapes of evocative vocals and imaginative lyrics, Larkin has earned comparisons to Bonnie Raitt and Lucinda Williams for her superb slide guitar playing.
