Showtime to Debut THE UNTOLD HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES on Blu-ray, 10/15

On October 15, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment (WBHE) will debut on Blu-ray The Untold History of the United States, a ten-part Showtime Original Series from three-time Academy Award-winning writer and director Oliver Stone.

The Coachella Valley's premiere theatrical venue, The McCallum Theatre, has added an exciting new array of offerings to its' already jam-packed upcoming seaon. Comedy, jazz, world music, country royalty, pop icons and first ladies of American song have been added to the roster of McCallum Theatre's 2013-2014 season. “Meet the Press” was the most-watched Sunday morning public affairs hour on July 7, 2013, according to Nielsen Media Research data. The NBC broadcast drew 2.352 million viewers, topping This Week by +279,000, the Face the Nation hour by +514,000, and FOX News Sunday by +1,356,000.

The Detroit Repertory Theatre's 2013/2014 Season will have a Champagne Opening and Celebration on November 07, 2013. The highlight of this 57th Opening Night at the Rep will be the Midwest Premiere comedy A FACILITY FOR LIVING by Katie Forgette. The rest of the season are all World Premiere plays that span a range of issues: a powerful story about the changing music scene in the 1960's in America as a metaphor for the race riots happening at the time; a mystery about 3 Cherokee 'blood brothers'; and finally a twisted comical romp about a professor who meets a student who has taken his teachings about animal rights literally.

Everybody knows a lawyer joke or two, but what's not as well known is the effect of the legal mind on the U.S. presidency. That's a problem, author Albert Lebowitz points out in his new book, because 27 of the 44 presidents since the nation's founding have been lawyers. For instance, although hundreds of books and articles have been written about Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, little emphasis has been placed on both of them earning degrees from Ivy League law schools, being constitutional law professors and having wives who also graduated from Ivy League law schools and practiced law.
