Cherry Lane Theatre will present the first ever summer education series in the theatre's 90-year history, CHERRY LANE SCHOOL - a weeklong intensive offering interactive Master Classes with writers, actors, movement directors, social media experts, etc. - from June 22 to 26 at Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce St. in Greenwich Village), it has been announced by Angelina Fiordellisi, the theatre's Founding Artistic Director.
An invitation-only reading of the new musical Amandine, featuring a book and lyrics by Winter Miller and music and lyrics by Lance Horne, will be presented on May 28, directed by Outer Critics Circle Award nominee Markus Potter. The evening will feature the talents of Tony Award nominees Daphne Rubin-Vega (Rent) and Elizabeth A. Preparations come on the heels of WAM Theatre's enlightening fifth-season celebration, Change Makers, during which Artistic Director Kristen van Ginhoven announced that Mother of Peace Ilovo, an orphanage in South Africa, will be the beneficiary of WAM's 2014 philanthropic donation.
