Ron Legler, President of the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center, home of the Hippodrome Theatre, has announced the lineup of shows for the new 2018/19 Hippodrome Broadway Series. Today, the Royal Shakespeare Company announces the child casting for the first five venues of the Matilda The Musical 2018/19 UK and Ireland Tour. The title role will be shared by Annalise Bradbury, Lara Cohen, Poppy Jones and Nicola Turner. The West End production will continue to play at the Cambridge Theatre, where it is now in its seventh year and is booking until 10 February 2019.

The Universal Drum is an experimental work in development that explores the harmony of Deaf and Hearing worlds through drums. This artwork integrates new music, drama, and American Sign Language (ASL) poetry that can be experienced by Deaf and Hearing audiences alike. The first workshop performance will premiere at Dixon Place today, January 13, 2018 at 7:30pm.

Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park's season of one-week Summer Camps and three-week Performance Academy programs are now on sale at cincyplay.com for 2018. The one-week camps introduce children grades 1 to 10 to the world of art using unique, book-based themes. The three-week Performance Academy enables children in grades 3 to 12 to experience the production of a play from beginning to end. No acting experience is required.

Musical theatre lovers, rejoice! The Musical of Musicals-the Musical! has returned to Sacramento and promises an evening of melodrama, satire, and comedy. Composed by the co-creator of last season's The Donner Party, Eric Rockwell, with lyrics by Joanne Bogart, the show parodies some of Broadway's greatest composers while paying homage to their brilliance.
