HBO presents a compelling array of timely and thought-provoking documentaries every Monday night in the second half of 2014. Among the new films to debut in the weekly slot are Kate Davis and David Heilbroner's THE NEWBURGH STING, an inside look at the rarely told story of the FBI's involvement in a homegrown terror case, Jeremiah Zagar's CAPTIVATED: THE TRIALS OF PAMELA SMART, a look at the first trial televised gavel-to-gavel and the media circus surrounding it, Steve Buscemi's A GOOD JOB: STORIES OF THE FDNY, showing what it's like to work in one of the most demanding fire departments in the world, HUNTED: THE WAR AGAINST GAYS IN RUSSIA, the searing story of a group that terrorizes gay men and women, and a holiday family special SAVING MY TOMORROW: KIDS CARE FOR THE PLANET, spotlighting young environmental activists.

Blues at the Beach at Indian Ranch just got bigger. The show featuring B.B. King with Robert Randolph and The Family Band and Shemekia Copeland on Sunday, July 13 has added three regional blues bands to the lineup. The ThrowDown Band, The Cannibal Ramblers, and Ten Foot Polecats will all perform on the Indian Ranch Corral Stage starting at 12noon. The main stage festivities begin at 2:00PM making it a day of non-stop blues on the lake.

At South Street Seaport, River To River presents 'Fronteras: New and Old Sounds from Latin America and the Caribbean,' a series of concerts and DJ sets curated by Isabel Soffer/Live Sounds, June 27-29. From an accordion fronted Tex-Mex punk band to socially conscious Haitian songs, and from ambient folk and electronica to the NYC debut of the king of Colombian vallenato and cumbia, the series travels the crossroads, the blurs and the beats of both traditional and contemporary sounds. Friday night highlights experimental groups that explore musical boundaries; Saturday night features hard rocking socially conscious artists that speak to today's political and social movements; and Sunday brings out some of the finest dance rhythms on the planet. All evenings feature sets by the NY-based DJ Nickodemus.

Ben Fields has released his debut album Extraordinary Light via Sire Records on Tuesday, which landed at #7 on iTunes' Singer/Songwriter Album chart and #6 on Amazon's similar chart. Following his TV debut as he performed on Monday night's episode of ABC's The Bachelorette, Fields' lead single, 'Extraordinary Light' jumped to the #1 Hot New Single Release on Amazon's Singer/Songwriter chart and #8 on iTunes' Singer/Songwriter Singles chart. The album also managed the biggest gain in sales within its first 24 hours on Amazon, bringing it to #4 on their Movers and Shakers chart.
