With 12 actors playing more than 55 roles, director Davis McCallum has injected fresh, fast-paced energy and sharp humor into this bold and beloved Shakespearean epic.

Considered by many to Shakespeare?s greatest and most exciting history play, it tells the story of one of England?s most inspiring monarchs and his triumphs in war, politics and love. A touring co-production of two of America?s Tony Award-winning theatre companies, KING HENRY V plays in Phoenix at the Herberger Theater Center for five performances only from March 26 through March 29. Shakespeare's history play about a young and ambitious king is rediscovered with theatrical ingenuity as 12 actors perform more than 40 roles. Matthew Amendt as King Henry is surrounded by a company that includes alumni of our B.F.A. and Guthrie Experience actor training programs. Henry V is a rousing, fascinating story of the power of courage and the price of glory. Guthrie audiences will be the first to see this powerful production before it embarks on a national tour.

Guthrie Director Joe Dowling and The Acting Company's Producing Artistic Director Margot Harley today announced casting for the co-production and national tour of William Shakespeare's Henry V, directed by Davis McCallum.
