Betty Cuningham Gallery is pleased to open an exhibition of the Works on Paper by Stanley Lewis in SIDECAR (the Gallery's next-door space). This will be the artist's second show with the Gallery and will run concurrently with Stanley Lewis: The Way Things Are, Works from the William Louis-Dreyfus Foundation at the New York Studio School (October 3 - November 13, 2016). The artist will be present for an opening reception in SIDECAR on Saturday October 22, from 4 -7 PM.

Quick Silver Theater Company to Host Playwrights of Color Summit in June

Quick Silver Theater Company, now in its second year, will focus on playwrights of color. Their first project in the new year will be a Playwrights of Color Summit (POCS). QST's submission process took place at the end of 2015. Founder Tyrone Mitchell Henderson says, "The submissions that we received are all beautiful meditations on themes that include spirituality, community, love and its many forms, race, religion and radicalism."

Named a 2013 CAG New Music/New Places Ensemble, PUBLIQuartet's creative, interactive programming brings a fresh perspective to the classical music scene. Drawing on jazz, world, and electro-acoustic influences, PUBLIQuartet pairs music from the classical repertoire with contemporary works, original compositions, and open-form improvisations that expand the stylistic norms of the string quartet.
