Goodman Theatre Artistic Director Robert Falls announces the cast for his revival of the rarely-produced Measure for Measure-William Shakespeare's "last comedy and his blackest-pitched" in which the "unquenchable influence of sex in society is a central theme" (New York Times). This production marks Falls' first return to Shakespeare's work since his critically-acclaimed 2006 revival of King Lear, starring Stacy Keach in the title role.

The City Theatre Company will continue its 2013 theatre season with William Shakespeare's Othello, the Moor of Venice from February 21- March 17 at City Theatre. CTC's Jeff Hinkle, who previously directed Romeo and Juliet, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Hamlet, leads with a dynamic and beautiful interpretation of this timeless, tragic tale of love, deceit, jealousy and revenge.

Oak Park Festival Theatre continues its 2012-2013 season by staging Edward Albee's comedy/fantasy/satire, the Pulitzer Prize-winning Seascape at the Madison Street Studio Theatre. Directed by Stephanie Shaw, the production will feature Artistic Director Jack Hickey as Charlie, OPFT veteran Mary Michell as Nancy, Alee Spadoni as Sarah, and Dan Toot as Leslie.

The epic story of King Henry V's battle with the French during the Hundred Years' War comes alive for the first time at the Folger Theatre, in William Shakespeare's historical drama Henry V. Continuing its mission to boldly re-envision classical drama, Classical Theatre Company is presenting Alfred Jarry's UBU ROI. The 1896 play is a precursor of the Theatre of the Absurd and Surrealism, but certainly opened the doors for the development of those genres of theatre.

Jeff Watkins, founder and Artistic Director of the Atlanta Shakespeare Company at the New American Shakespeare Tavern, recently began his two-year term as President of the international Shakespeare Theatre Association (STA). He stepped into the position at this past week's STA conference, succeeding Patrick Spottiswoode, Director of Education for Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London.
