Provocative, relevant, intelligent New York Theatre is coming to Middlebury.

The first of two public debates between the Republican and Democratic candidates in the New Jersey gubernatorial race will be held at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, N.J. on Oct. 10.

The celebrated Newman & Oltman Guitar Duo will perform at the 17th New York Guitar Seminar at Mannes today, June 27. The Duo will be joined by Rene Izquierdo and Duo Cantabile in a concert and conversation honoring Cuban guitarist and Maestro Elias Barreiro.

The Nash announces its 'Catch A Rising Star' Summer Concert Series featuring performances by young Arizona jazz artists.  The musicians range from high school to recent college graduates between ages of 18 - 24, who either are based or were raised in Arizona.    Curated by The Nash, this series provides a platform for these emerging artists to gain prominence in the jazz community.

Violinist Mathew 'MattViolinist' Silvera and double bassist Desmond Bratton provide live accompaniment for this one-of-a-kind theatrical musical event. Performances are November 15 to December 4.

The 94th season of the New York Philharmonic Young People's Concerts (YPCs) will continue on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. with "Classical," the second program in this season's series, The Ages of Music - each program exploring the sound, composers, and culture of the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Modern eras, respectively. The all-Mozart program will feature the Overture to The Marriage of Figaro and selections from the Symphony No. 31, Paris; Flute Concerto No. 2, with Philharmonic flutist Yoobin Son in her Philharmonic solo debut; and Symphony No. 39. Assistant Conductor Joshua Gersen will conduct the program; Vice President, Education, Theodore Wiprud will host the event, which will also feature classical dancer Thomas Baird and hip-hop dancer Quilan Arnold. The scriptwriters and directors are Nell Benjamin and Laurence O'Keefe, whose collaborations include the Tony-nominated and Olivier Award-winning Legally Blonde, The Musical.
