The Heights Players continues its 59th season with the New York premiere of Ken Ludwig's The Game's Afoot or Holmes for the Holidays. This is the second straight New York premiere for the Heights Players, following on the heels of last month's New York premiere of The Great Gatsby, and this one brings mayhem and madcap adventure to the John Bourne Theater as only Ken Ludwig can do!

The Minstrel Players Theatre Company of Northport Village are proud to be staging the Long Island premiere of Ken Ludwig's 2012 Edgar Award Winning play for Best Mystery -- 'The Game's Afoot'. This play is a follow-up to Ludwig's 'Postmortem' which the Minstrels staged a few years earlier. Performances of 'The Game's Afoot' will be over two weekends on Saturday, October 25th and November 1st at 8 P.M and 3 P.M. matinee performances on Sunday, October 26th and November 2nd at Houghton Hall - Trinity Episcopal Church, 130 Main Street in scenic Northport Village. CAT Theatre's 51st season will open with Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure which runs October 24 through November 8, 2014. Adapted by Steven Dietz, it is based on the original 1899 play by William Gillette and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and was the winner of the 2007 Edgar Award for Best Mystery Play.

BroadwayWorld.com has exclusively learned that Sherlock Holmes may be headed to the stage in the coming Broadway seasons. Tony Award Nominated producer Antonio R. Marion (Big Fish, Evita) is said to be sheparding the project that is currently in the developmental stages. The production is set to be a brand new version of the beloved stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle that will be presented in the format of a play while a live orchestra underscores the drama and action.
