CAT Theatre has announced the 51st season for Richmond's professional theatre with a community heart. For the 2014-2015 season, CAT has selected the following plays:

Bay City Players will host the 2014 Spring Conference of the Community Theatre Association of Michigan during the weekend of April 25 -27, 2014. Representatives of community theatre groups around the state will come together to share ideas, conduct and attend workshops, and enjoy our production of 'Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure.'

The world's greatest detective is back in a classic adventure that will keep you on the edge of your seat in SHERLOCK HOLMES: The Final Adventure at the Coronado Playhouse April 11-May 18, 2014. As Sherlock Holmes seeks to wind down his career through the arrest of Professor Moriarty, he and Doctor Watson are drawn into a blackmail case that involves a king and a world-renowned opera singer, putting them on a collision course with Holmes' greatest enemy.

Bay City Players will present the mystery/comedy, 'Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure' adapted by Steven Dietz, based on the original 1899 play by William Gillette and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle on April 25 - 27 and May 1 - 4, 2014 at the Bay City Players, 1214 Columbus Avenue, in Bay City. Performance times are 8:00 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure is directed by Susan Ross.

'I will go and tend my geese! I will, I will, I will!' screamed the Mayor's daughter wearing a goose-girl costume. Usually, she was a polite, pampered child, but ever since her father threw a Christmas Eve party for all of the children in the city, she behaved like the costume she was wearing. In fact, all of the children were behaving like the costumes dictated. Paupers were princes and the privileged performed farm chores.

STAGE DOOR PLAYERS, Dunwoody's own professional theatre company, continues its 40th Anniversary Season with The Game's Afoot or Holmes for the Holidays by Ken Ludwig, directed by Robert Egizio. The regional premiere opens on Friday, December 6, 8pm curtain, and runs until December 22. The show features some of Atlanta's top talent: Cara Mantella, Jackie Prucha, Jacob York, among others. Whodunit? Will this troupe of Sherlock Holmes theatre actors figure it out before it's too late? The Lake Worth Playhouse kicks off the holiday season with an unusual murder-mystery starring the classic Sherlock Holmes in this Christmas Eve comedy not to be forgotten.

Recently, TheatreWorks announced its 2014 line-up of theatrical performances at a party hosted by Spruce Home & Garden, a retailer of upper-end home products and accessories, on Bank Street in New Milford. Over 100 subscribers, donors, and special guests, along with the Board of Directors of TheatreWorks, gathered for a few hours to mingle and dine on appetizers from New Milford's Ristorante Lucia, which then hosted a post-event party at the restaurant.

Gulfshore Playhouse is preparing their 2013-2014 season with five diverse productions, running from November to April.

Curious Theatre Company, in association with the National New Play Network (NNPN), presents Steven Dietz's Rancho Mirage, directed by Artistic Company Member Christopher Leo. The production runs October 31 - December 7, 2013 at 1080 Acoma Street, Denver. The opening night is November 2, 2013, at 8 p.m.
