MOTHERS & SONS, THE UNDERSTUDY & More Set for Artists Rep's 2015-16 Season

Artists Repertory Theatre announces an ambitious and stylistically diverse 2015/16 season of eight engaging plays. These selections emphasize Artists Rep's role as Portland's premiere mid-size regional theatre company by offering five of the most acclaimed contemporary plays in recent years, alongside two magnificent mid-20th Century classics, and the World Premiere production of the Broadway-scale musical, Cuba Libre.

'The Miracle Worker', William Gibson's classic play which focuses on the stormy relationship between Helen Keller and her governess Annie Sullivan is at The Media Theatre now through February 15. THE MIRACLE WORKER Runs 2/20-3/15 at Lakewood Playhouse

The Lakewood Playhouse presents the fourth show of their 76th SEASON: "THE MIRACLE WORKER" by William Gibson. The Play will be performed on Fridays, Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm. Performances will be February 20th - March 15th, 2015with Special Showings at 8:00pm on Thursday, February 26th Pay What You Can Night) and 8:00pm on Thursday, March 5th (Pay What You Can" Actor's Benefit). Media Theatre's MIRACLE WORKER Will Benefit Two Local Schools for the Blind

If Helen Keller were a student today in the Philadelphia region she would have her choice of two outstanding schools -- Overbrook School for the Blind in Philadelphia and Royer-Greaves School for the Blind in Paoli. Helen's story and struggles to learn from her governess Annie Sullivan come into sharp focus in Media Theatre's The Miracle Worker. The classic play by William Gibson opens for previews Wednesday, January 28.

Lexi Gwynn & Jennie Eisenhower to Lead Media Theatre's MIRACLE WORKER

The classic play by William Gibson which focuses on the stormy relationship between Helen Keller and her governess Annie Sullivan is at The Media Theatre January 28-February 15. It's 'The Miracle Worker', which follows Media's new tradition of placing a classic play within its annual Broadway Series schedule.

La MaMa presents to Present Mokwha Repertory Company's THE TEMPEST

La MaMa - the world-renowned theatre complex in the heart of New York City's East Village - today announced its next production of its 53rd Season entitled 'LA MAMA EARTH,' featuring works that raise awareness of world ecology and social justice both locally and globally: the Mokwha Repertory Company from Korea's adaptation of Shakespeare's THE TEMPEST, set in 5th century Korea will play four performances only at the Ellen Stewart Theatre (66 E. 4 St.) from Nov. 20-23. This Korean TEMPEST is the 2nd installment of a TEMPEST trilogy being staged by La MaMa this season on the 2-year anniversary of Hurricane Sandy. The trilogy began last month with an accclaimed production of THE TEMPEST directed by Karin Coonrod with music by Elizabeth Swados, and will conclude in December with NELLA TEMPESTA from Italy.

Pasadena Playhouse Adds South Coast Repertory's THE WHIPPING MAN to 2014-15 Season

The Pasadena Playhouse announced that they will present Matthew Lopez's multi-award winning play THE WHIPPING MAN, which will replace the previously announced production of William Gibson's TWO FOR THE SEESAW as the fourth production of the 2014-2015 season. THE WHIPPING MAN is produced in association with South Coast Repertory, where the show will play January 4-25, 2015, and then transfer to The Pasadena Playhouse February 3 - March 1, 2015 with a press opening on February 4.

Martin Sola and Nicholas Urda Star in CRT's OLIVES AND BLOOD, Running Now thru 10/12

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) will open their 2014-15 season with Olives and Blood at the Nafe Katter Theatre today, October 2nd - 12th. Written by Michael Bradford, this new play stars Martin Sola as Juan Luis Trescante Medina, the aging fascist who claims responsibility for the murder of poet-playwright Federico Garcia Lorca, played by Nicholas Urda.
