COCA, the fourth largest multidisciplinary community arts center in the country, announces the appointment of William Carson as president of its board of directors. Carson succeeds Jesse Hunter, who was board president from 2015 to 2020.

The Mobtown Playwrights Group will conclude its 2010-2011 season with a complete production of Fools Call It Fate, a new full-length play by Jessica McHugh. The show will run July 22 through August 6 at the Mobtown Theater in Hampden. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 P.M., with one Sunday performance on July 31 at 4 P.M.
