Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, continues its 2013-2014 Season with Tom Jones, adapted by Jon Jory from the novel by Henry Fielding and directed by William Brown. The production runs at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd in Skokie, now through February 23, 2014. The Press Opening is Friday, January 24, at 7:30 pm.

Robert Cuccioli to Star in Thomas F. Flynn's BIKEMAN at BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center, Begin. 1/26

Marc Agger and William Brown present Bikeman: The 9/11 Theatrical Experience, a new play by Thomas F. Flynn based on his acclaimed book. Performances begin January 26. Opening night is February 18. PORT AUTHORITY Extends thru 3/2 at Writers Theatre

Writers Theatre Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kate Lipuma announce the extension of the Midwest Premiere of Port Authority by Conor McPherson, directed by William Brown. The production, which began previews on October 29, has been extended due to high demand through March 2, 2014 at 664 Vernon Avenue, Glencoe.

The most wonderful time of the year is underway as Goodman Theatre's A Christmas Carol begins its 36th annual production. Directing the holiday favorite for the first time, Henry Wishcamper's production features all-new on stage magic-set elements, special effects and more. The cast of 27 (below, includes 14 new and 13 returning cast members) stars Larry Yando, who most recently appeared in Mary Zimmerman's production of The Jungle Book as Shere Khan, in his sixth turn as Ebenezer Scrooge and 8-year-old Matthew Abraham as Tiny Tim for the second year. A Christmas Carol runs now through December 28 in the Goodman's Albert Theatre. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

GOOD PEOPLE, 'SUNDAY IN THE PARK', Michael Shannon, Andre De Shields and More Top 2013 Jeff Awards; Winners Announced!

At the gala 45th Annual Equity Jeff Awards held at Drury Lane Oakbrook on Monday, November 4, Steppenwolf Theatre Company's 'Good People' received the award for Production-Play in a large tier theatre. Principal Actress Mariann Mayberry was also honored for her role in this David Lindsey-Abaire play, which considers the dangerous consequences of holding on to the past or leaving it behind. William Brown received Best Director of a play for Writers Theatre's production of the French farce 'The Liar', adapted by David Ives.

TO MASTER THE ART Recoups in Five Weeks; Continues thru Oct 20

The Chicago Commercial Collective has announced that TO MASTER THE ART has recouped its full production capitalization in just 5 weeks. Commissioned by TimeLine Theatre in 2008, the play, about the adventure and romance of Julia and Paul Child's journey of discovery to Paris during the 1950s, has had a successful run at the Broadway In Chicago's Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E Chestnut) and will continue through October 20.
