The 34th Annual Fred & Adele Astaire Awards, which recognizes outstanding achievements in dance on Broadway and in film, takes place on Monday, May 16, 2016.

Opening night is Thursday, March 10, for David Harrower's BLACKBIRD, the Olivier Award-winning drama starring Jeff Daniels and Michelle Williams, and directed by Joe Mantello. BLACKBIRD is playing at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street) for an 18-week limited engagement through June 11, 2016. Previews began Friday, February 5. Something Rotten! has just announced that Edward Hibbert (It Shoulda Been You, The Drowsy Chaperone, "Frasier") will assume the roles of "Lord Clapham / Master of Justice" in the ten-time Tony Award-nominated musical comedy beginning Tuesday, November 10 at The St. James Theatre.

The celebrated new production of D.L. Coburn's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, The Gin Game, directed by Leonard Foglia and starring legendary actors James Earl Jones and Cicely Tyson, will add four performances in December and January, BroadwayWorld has learned.

Broadway in Boston has announced that tickets for the highly anticipated upcoming engagement of PIPPIN will go on sale to the public this Sunday, October 25th.  Following its acclaimed run at the American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge, MA this captivating new production comes straight from Broadway where it won the 2013 Tony Award for Best Musical Revival. PIPPIN will play a limited two week run at the Boston Opera House February 2 - 14, 2016 as part of the 2015-2016 Lexus Broadway In Boston Season.
