Award-winning playwright, Paul Buzinskis' new play, SELECTION DAY, is making its World Premiere at Theatre 54, now through October 3rd. This fast-paced comedy is directed by Schnele Wilson who recently directed the critically acclaimed production of Reading Between the Lies at The New York International Fringe Festival. Producers Andrew Rothkin and Jay Michaels have come together to produce a series of scary plays befitting the season. This trick or treat bag is filled with prominent artists, guest directors, and premieres. Joseph Koch of Manhattan's memorabilia haven Forbidden Planet and Brooklyn's Warehouse of Wonder (more than 1,000,000 comic books and other memorabilia) is supplying vintage giveaways and prizes. Illustrator Songe Riddle created original poster artwork for the event... 'alas poor... Yorick?'

The Workshp Theater Company will present a series of two-character plays focusing on love and desire. All the plays are written by Rich Orloff, whose plays have enjoyed production on all seven continents, Antarctica included. Entitled Couples, the show consists of eight short two-character plays presented together in one evening for the first time.
