A 25th anniversary production of the imaginative, fractured-fairy tale musical "Into the Woods" by James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim will be staged at the theater where Sondheim was an apprentice in 1950, Westport Country Playhouse, in Westport, CT, May 1 through May 26. Directed by Mark Lamos, the Playhouse's artistic director, the musical will open the historic theater's 82nd season. It is co-produced with Baltimore's CENTERSTAGE.

The producers of Over the Moon: The Broadway Lullaby Project have confirmed that the list of participating composers and lyricists now boasts Pulitzer Prize winners Tom Kitt (Next to Normal) Tony Kushner (Angels in America) and Stephen Sondheim (Sunday in the Park With George).

Greencastle's Putnam County Playhouse will hold auditions for CLUE THE MUSICAL, a show based on the board game by Parker Brothers, on April 1 at 3pm and April 2 at 7pm in the Rehearsal Center (Hazel Day Longden Theatre).

The acclaimed new American play PETER AND THE STARCATCHER, by Tony Award nominee Rick Elice, directed by Tony Award-winner Roger Rees and Drama Desk Award-winner and Tony Award nominee Alex Timbers (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson), began preview performances on Broadway at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street) on March 28th and is set to open on April 15th.
