The Bob Woodruff Foundation (BWF) and New York Comedy Festival (NYCF) are proud to present Stand Up for Heroes, an evening of comedy and music benefiting injured service members, veterans and their families tonight, November 6th at 8pm.
In an effort to bring troops and their families stationed in the Middle East, Germany and the United Kingdom special moments this Halloween season, the USO is once again deploying five bestselling thriller authors abroad as part of the 'Operation Thriller IV' USO/Armed Forces Entertainment tour October 24 - November 1. Unlike any 'Operation Thriller' USO tour in its series, this year's installment will kick off with a three-day visit to the nation's capital.
The Bethesda Marriott is a full-service 407-key hotel located adjacent
to Rockville Pike, approximately nine miles north of Washington D.C. and
close to downtown Bethesda, the National Institute of Health, and Walter
Reed Medical Center. The Hotel features a 180-seat three-meal
restaurant, 19,000 square feet of meeting space, and indoor and outdoor
pools. Marriott Hotels & Resorts manages the Hotel under a long-term
management contract.
SIGNS OF LIFE, A Tale of Terezin, will host post-show discussions with Holocaust survivors, many of whom spent time in the Theresienstadtghetto. To continue the conversation sparked by SIGNS OF LIFE, survivors and their family members will share their own stories and experiences and offer unique perspectives to the show. SIGNS OF LIFE will play Chicago for a limited six week engagement playing September 18 through October 27, 2013.

Exit 12 Dance Company, a contemporary dance company founded by United States Marine Corps Sergeant Roman Baca upon his return from Iraq, will perform on the flight deck of the USS Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum for the third year this Memorial Day weekend, May 25 at 12pm and May 26 at 1:30pm. The program will feature the New York premiere of 'SometimesSilence,' choreographed by a Army mother whose only two sons deployed to Afghanistan last year.

Michael Riedel reports in today's New York Post that William Shatner is headed to Broadway in early 2012 with a 2-3 week engagement of SHATNER'S WORD: WE JUST LIVE IN IT which will play for 2-3 weeks at the Music Box Theater on Broadway. The show will be a temporary booking at the theatre, which is currently home to PRIVATE LIVES, which just moved up its closing to December 31.
