Long Wharf Theatre concludes its 2012-13 season with Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning play Clybourne Park, by Bruce Norris, and directed by Associate Artistic Director Eric Ting. Denzel Washington, who was last seen on Broadway in Fences, winning a 2010 Tony Award, has been telling the press in interviews that he was headed back to the stage in 2014. Now, Michael Riedel of the New York Post reports today that the show will be A RAISIN IN THE SUN, directed by Kenny Leon and produced by Scott Rudin. Washington will play Walter Lee Younger in the show, which is hoping to hit the stage in the Spring of 2013.
