 IN & OF ITSELF, the smash-hit solo show written and performed by three-time Academy of Magical Arts Award winner Derek DelGaudio (Nothing to Hide) and directed by four-time Emmy Award winner Frank Oz (Little Shop of Horrors, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Star Wars), adds one more record to the books by breaking the all-time record for highest weekly gross ($216,630.00) at Daryl Roth Theatre, for the production's penultimate week of performances (week ending August 12).  The show is also primed to break the record a second time in the upcoming final week, with DelGaudio delivering the final performance ever on Sunday, August 19, 2018.

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents a staged concert of 'Stone and Sparrow', a new musical by composer-lyricist Alex Ratner and librettist Laurel Durning-Hammond.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic announced today that global superstar Katy Perry will join the line-up of special guest artists for Celebrate LA!: LA Phil 100 at the Bowl, a free concert at the Hollywood Bowl on Sunday, September 30, 2018, at 7PM. Perry will join Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonicto perform a short set of top hits from her illustrious career. Previously announced special guests include Herbie Hancock, Kali Uchis, and YOLA (Youth Orchestra Los Angeles).

Production on Disney's “Mulan,” a live-action adaptation of the studio's 1998 animated feature, has begun. The film will shoot on locations in New Zealand and China and will open in U.S. theaters on March 27, 2020. 

Netflix, the world's leading internet entertainment service, announced that its first Arabic Original Series begins principal photography today in Amman, Jordan. Maximising on the beauty of the local setting, mixing themes of Supernatural and Teen Soap, Jinn will bring Middle East folklore into the modern world, exploring contemporary themes of Jinn mythology but with a coming of age supernatural story about friendship, love and adventure.

Multitalented actress/singer Christy Carlson Romano and Emmy® and GRAMMY® Award-winning actor/comedian Patton Oswalt have joined the cast of the live-action 'Kim Possible,' a Disney Channel Original Movie about an everyday high school girl who, in her spare time, saves the world from villains. Romano played the voice of the iconic title character and Oswalt played the voice of Professor Dementor in the hit animated series on which the movie is based.

Disney Digital Network today premiered the latest special from "Club Mickey Mouse" featuring two new songs, original dance videos, and a cameo appearance from former Mouseketeer, JC Chasez. In the special, the Mouseketeers celebrate the end of summer before heading back to "Club Mickey High School" under the surprise leadership of "Principal Chasez." Walt Disney Records will distribute both singles,  "Summer is a Vibe" and "Ready Set Go," and music videos through online music stores.

Gal Gadot (“Justice League,” “Wonder Woman”) revealed today that she is voicing the character Shank, a tough and talented driver in an intense and gritty online racing game called Slaughter Race, in Walt Disney Animation Studios' “Ralph Breaks the Internet,” which hits theaters this Thanksgiving.

The LA Phil pays tribute to the experimental and deeply influential Fluxus movement of the 1960s and 1970s with a season-long program of performances and events at Walt Disney Concert Hall and venues throughout Los Angeles, beginning October 14, 2018. An international, anti-establishment movement whose practitioners included artists, composers, designers, and architects, as well as economists, mathematicians, ballet dancers, and others, Fluxus aimed to collapse what it considered the false wall between art and life by emphasizing artistic process over finished product. In a survey curated by American conductor and composer Christopher Rountree, in collaboration with the Getty Research Institute, the often-humorous, frequently challenging music and performances of Fluxus will be featured in a combination of concerts, symposia, and other live events, as well as surprise installations and performances throughout the 2018/19 Centennial season.

Disney|ABC announced today that it has entered into a development holding agreement with award-winning TV anchor and journalist Tamron Hall. The studio will work with Hall to create and develop a daytime talk show, which she will host, for the syndication marketplace.

ABC announced today a two-hour prime-time special celebrating 90 years of Mickey Mouse. From the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California, the elegant affair will feature star-studded musical performances, moving tributes and never-before-seen short films. Superstars from music, film and television will join the festivities to celebrate the birthday of the internationally beloved character on “Mickey's 90th Spectacular,” airing SUNDAY, NOV. 4 (8:00-10:00 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network.

The Los Angeles Master Chorale will open its 2018/19 concert season in Walt Disney Concert Hall with two performances of The Mozart Requiem on Saturday, September 22 at 2 PM and Sunday, September 23 at 7 PM. The performances will feature the full 100-voice Master Chorale and Orchestra, and will be conducted by Grant Gershon, Kiki & David Gindler Artistic Director. Guest soloists for the Requiem are Liv Redpath (soprano), J'Nai Bridges (mezzo-soprano), David Portillo (tenor), and Rod Gilfry (baritone). The concerts will open with Shawn Kirchner's Songs of Ascent-a setting of the Psalms sung by pilgrims journeying to Jerusalem-commissioned and premiered by the Master Chorale in 2015 when Kirchner was the Swan Family Composer-in-Residence. These performances will include three Psalms Kirchner has since added to the piece.
