Walnut Street Theatre's Independence Studio on 3 continues its season with David Mamet's comedy A Life in the Theatre. Philadelphia audiences will be the first to see this production before it becomes the fifth national tour of a Walnut Street Theatre production. A Life in the Theatre begins in Philadelphia with previews on January 13th, opens January 15th and runs through February 1st in the intimate Independence Studio on 3.

South Jersey Native Jeff Coon to Star in Eagle Theatre's CATCH ME IF YOU CAN

South Jersey native Jeff Coon returns home to star as FBI Agent Carl Hanratty in the Eagle Theatre's upcoming Professional Regional Area Premiere of Catch Me If You Can, opening January 23. Mr. Coon is a Barrymore Award Winning actor and has appeared at The Walnut Street Theatre, Arden Theatre and Philadelphia Theatre Company. He is also the Co-creator/Producer of 'The Summer Club,' a night club show featuring standards and a 17-piece Big Band.

CEDARS, Featuring Works by Native American Writers, Set for La MaMa in 2015

Mirage Theatre Company is making its La MaMa debut with 'Cedars,' a theatrical adaptation of Native American poetry and prose performed by Native American actors, directed by June Prager. Through the poetic voices of contemporary Native American writers, the play gives a 21st century face to the struggles of indigenous people, depicting their adaptation into modern-day society and celebrating Native American culture and enduring spirit. Participating writers include Arthur Tulee (Yakama), Tiffany Midge (Hunkpapa Sioux), Gail Tremblay (Onondaga/M'kmaq), Deborah A. Miranda (Ohlone-Costanoan Esselen), Alex Jacobs (Akwesasne Mohawk), William Michael Paul (Hunkpapa Sioux), Joseph Bruchac (Abenaki), Martha Brice (Tlingit), Molly McGlennen (Anishinaabe), and Evan Pritchard (M'kmaq). La MaMa will present the work, in association with Mirage Theatre Company, January 22 to February 1 in La MaMa's First Floor Theater, 74A East Fourth Street (East Village).

LIBERACE! Breaks All-Time Sales Record at Milwaukee Rep's Stackner Cabaret

Milwaukee Repertory Theater is delighted to announce today that the current production of Liberace! is the bestselling show in the history of the Stackner Cabaret surpassing the previous record holder, last year's acclaimed production of Ain't Misbehavin'. Since its first preview performances in November, Liberace! has played to 95% overall capacity and sold out houses for most performances in the 136-seat venue.

Quintessence Presents ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND, Beginning Tonight

Last Christmas Quintessence took you on an adventure across the English countryside and into the wild wood. This year we will venture down the rabbit hole. A theatrical event for the whole family, Quintessence's special brand of imagination theatre will take you on a whirlwind adventure with Alice and allow you to escape the holiday madness in Wonderland. Bringing together the best professional actors and designers from Philadelphia and across the country, Artistic Director Alexander Burns leads this collective of artists on a mission to ignite the classics through visceral, actor-focused and text-driven productions. ALICE's ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND will begin previews today, December 10 at 7pm and open on Saturday, December 13 at 7pm.
