Lantern Theater's THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES Runs Now thru 6/28

Madcap mayhem and farcical hilarity set the tone for Lantern Theater Company's production of The Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, adapted by Steven Canny and John Nicholson which closes the Lantern's season, running tonight, May 28-June 28. Directed by Matt Pfeiffer, the three-person cast features Damon Bonetti, Daniel Fredrick and Dave Johnson in multiple, quick-change roles.

Jason Robert Brown, Rob McClure to Honor Stephen Sondheim at the Arden, 6/1

Arden Theatre Company announces a final list of performers for the Master Storyteller Award ceremony and concert on Monday, June 1, 2015. The award will be bestowed upon Composer and Lyricist Stephen Sondheim, who will accept the award at a ticketed ceremony and concert, which is a fundraising benefit for the Arden's extensive educational and outreach programs. Composer and Lyricist Jason Robert Brown will present Mr. Sondheim with the award.

Palm Beach Dramaworks Closes Season with LADY DAY AT EMERSON'S BAR & GRILL, Now thru 6/7

Palm Beach Dramaworks concludes its fifteenth anniversary season with Lanie Robertson's Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill, a moving and surprisingly joyous look back at the too-short, turbulent life of the legendary Billie Holiday. Lady Day opens at  the Don & Ann Brown Theatre tonight, May 15 and continues through June 7.

Bristol Riverside Theatre Presents AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE, Now thru 5/31

Community and collaboration are the watchwords of Bristol Riverside Theatre's production of Henrik Ibsen's An Enemy of the People, running tonight, May 12-May 31. Co-directed by Susan D. Atkinson and Amy Kaissar, the high-voltage drama, which concludes BRT's Mainstage Season, features an ensemble of professional actors Keith Baker, Kevin Bergen, Mark Collmer, Brian Brillinger, Laura Giknis, Marc LeVasseur, Shamus Hunter McCarty, P. Brendan Mulvey and Sabrina Proffitt performing alongside Bucks County community members. The production is supported in part by a generous grant from PECO.

Walnut Street Theatre to Present SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK LIVE! JR., Begin. 5/29

Kids, along with their families and friends, will love Schoolhouse Rock Live! JR. The iconic Emmy Award-winning Saturday morning cartoon series comes to life at Walnut Street Theatre for Kids beginning May 29th. Young audience members will see how much fun learning can be. Due to popular demand, the Walnut has announced the production has been extended through June 6th.

Media Theatre's New Dance Classes Begin Later This Month

Get ready to dance! The Media Theatre is expanding its curriculum to include Tap and Ballet classes. They'll take place at the new School and Dance Studio just two-and-a-half blocks from the theatre where Media Music Theatre Company thrives as the producing organization of all Broadway Series productions, Youth Series shows, and educational opportunities. The Studio is at 28 West State Street, right in the center of Media borough near the Plumstead Mall. Classes begin the week of Monday April 27.

Inis Nua Theatre Company Presents Enda Walsh's PENELOPE, Opening Tonight

Spring will be sprung (loose) when Inis Nua Theatre Company presents Penelope by Enda Walsh at the Prince Music Theater (1412 Chestnut Street). This dark comedy takes us into the world of Homer's The Odyssey by the back door, or maybe it's a trap door, as we fall into a part of the story that's never been told before. Penelope awaits the return of her husband, Odysseus, from the Trojan war. Four suitors are locked in a do-or-die competition to win her love at a barbecue unlike any you have ever seen. Will the great warrior return and slay his rivals, or will one of these self-proclaimed poets convince her to turn to a new love?

DTC artistic director Kevin Moriarty directs the Kennedy Center Jean Kennedy Smith Playwriting Award-winning play, which is choreographed by founder and artistic director of Dark Circles Contemporary Dance Joshua L. Peugh. Colossal begins with previews tonight, April 2 with a Pay-What-You-Can performance and runs through Sunday, May 3.
