ABC Orders New TOY STORY Holiday Special

ABC announced today that their second Pixar Animation Studios special for television, “Toy Story That Time Forgot,” a new Christmas special featuring your favorite characters from the “Toy Story” films, will air on TUESDAY, DECEMBER 2 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET). The special comes on the heels of the success of “Toy Story OF TERROR!,” which premiered to stellar ratings last October.

The world's longest-running LGBTQ Performance Festival, HOT! offers theater, music, dance, puppetry, performance art and homoeroticism for the whole family! HOT! is the pioneering festival of queer performance and culture - and the oldest annual festival of its kind in the world. Dixon Place is proud the HOT! serves as the model for other queer festivals across the globe and has become a performance destination for emerging talent in the LGBTQ community. TCG Books Releases Henrik Ibsen's A MASTER BUILDER, Translated and Adapted by Wallace Shawn

Theatre Communications Group (TCG) has announced the publication of A Master Builder by Henrik Ibsen, translated and adapted by Wallace Shawn. Shawn's version of the play was used by legendary director (and Shawn's frequent collaborator) Andre Gregory during 15 years of work on a theatrical production which, as of 2014, has not been produced in a theatre. Instead, it was made into a film by Jonathan Demme (Stop Making Sense, The Silence of the Lambs, Philadelphia), with a cast that includes Shawn, Gregory, Julie Hagerty, Lisa Joyce and Larry Pine.

Honorees were on hand to receive their awards and Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ruth Maleczech and Nicholas Martin were posthumously inducted into the Off Broadway Hall of Fame.

Two months ago we ran an enigmatic film called 'Enemy' starring Jake Gyllenhal. Though fascinating, the audience left the theatre scratching their heads 'What was THAT?' Now, a second retelling of the best-selling novel 'The Double' has hit the screens. This one takes a completely different approach to the novel -- it's a comedy-drama, not science fiction; it does not feature any other worldy creatures like giant spiders, and it stars Jesse Eisenberg, an oscar-nominee for 'The Social Network.' Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) has announced a $100,000 matching gift from philanthropist Diana DiMenna and hedge-fund manager Joe DiMenna, in support of BAC's campaign to establish the Cage Cunningham Fund for artist fellowships, named after legendary artistic partners John Cage and Merce Cunningham.
