Drive Theatre Company presents 44 Plays for 44 Presidents: LA! The one and only Los Angeles production of The Plays for Presidents Festival 2012.

Brown), now in its fifth year, announced today, that they will present the Los Angeles Premiere of FRATERNITY by internationally acclaimed, award-winning playwright/screenwriter Jeff Stetson (Keep the Faith and And the Men Should Also Gather). Henry Miller (James Baldwin's The Amen Corner) is set to direct this riveting award-winning political drama. FRATERNITY will play October 3 - 28, 2012, with the official press opening on Friday, October 5 at the Nate Holden Performing Arts Center (4718 W. Washington Blvd.) in Los Angeles.

THE MUMMY AND THE REVOLUTION centers around 'an Egyptian revolutionary, an American collector of antiquities, and a reanimated mummy - just three of the characters in this sexy, slap sticky romp where ideological opposites attract and the 'new' Middle East is never too far from the same old same old. A comedic gem from the writer who brought the acclaimed plays Ten Acrobats in an Amazing Leap of Faith, Back of the Throat, and Our Enemies to Silk Road Rising audiences.'

Silk Road Rising is set to present the World Premiere of Night Over Erzinga, written by Adriana Sevahn Nichols and directed by Lisa Portes. Night Over Erzinga runs October 9 - November 11, 2012, in Pierce Hall at The Historic Chicago Temple Building, 77 W. Washington St, Chicago. Press opening is Saturday, October 13 at 3:00 pm.

The Sherman Brothers, Richard and Robert, the musical geniuses behind "Mary Poppins," "Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang" and "Winnie the Pooh" may have another theatrical success on the way. Prior to Robert's death in March of this year, the brothers composed the words and music for "MerryGoRound," a new Broadway musical which, originally scheduled for Spring 2011, is now anticipating its New York debut later this year.

Silk Road Rising co-founders, Artistic Director Jamil Khoury and Executive Director Malik Gillani, have announced three staged readings for Summer 2012: Danny Bernardo's Mahal, Yussef Guindi's The Mummy and The Revolution, and Shane Sakhrani's The Doctor is Indian. All three staged readings will be presented in the company's venue in Pierce Hall at The Historic Chicago Temple Building at 77 W. Washington St. in Chicago. Tickets are $5.00 for each reading.

Silk Road Rising to present the World Premiere of Re-Spiced: A Silk Road Cabaret, song and narrative selection by Jamil Khoury, directed by Steve Scott, musical direction by Ryan Brewster, and choreographed by Brenda Didier. Re-Spiced runs April 4 - May 6, 2012, in Pierce Hall at The Historic Chicago Temple Building, 77 W. Washington St, Chicago. Press opening is Saturday, April 7 at 4:00 pm.

Martinez; San Diego's Mo`olelo Performing Arts Company; and disability advocate and dancer Zina Bethune.
