Singer, Composer, and Obie-Award Winning Playwright Ethan Lipton and His Orchestra Brings His Nationally Acclaimed Semi-Staged Production 'No Place to Go,' to the Capitol Center's Spotlight Cafe tonight, May 1, at 8pm.
Coming off their highly successful tour of No Place To Go, which The New York Times hailed as 'immensely appealing' and Time Out New York called 'a wry, gently angry defense of classic New York humanity,' Ethan Lipton & His Orchestra are as tight a band as any you'll find. Their time together on the road has resulted in their most cohesive work to date, Raw Milk, which they'll release on May 26. The band continues their monthly residency at Joe's Pub at The Public through June (April 30, May 20, June 27), with more dates being announced soon.

This spring, Joe's Pub presents some family favorites in multiple date runs like the Losers Lounge doing The Pretenders versus Blondie, comedian Justin Sayre's hit show The Meeting* to newer faces to Joe's like vocalist/performer Migguel Anggelo and performance artist/choreographer Ann Liv Young.

Lipton will kick off the residency tonight, Wednesday, January 21 at 6:30PM with an encore performance of his show No Place to Go, which The Public Theater presented as part of the 2012 season.
