National Theatre's JULIE to Screen at Ridgefield Playhouse

BAFTA Award-winning actress Vanessa Kirby (The Crown) and Eric Kofi Abrefa (The Amen Corner) lock horns in the National Theatre of London's production of Julie directed by Carrie Cracknell. This new version of August Strindberg's play Miss Julie, written by Polly Stenham, remains shocking and fiercely relevant in its new setting of contemporary London.  Julie comes to the big screen in HD at The Ridgefield Playhouse Thursday, April 18 at 7:30pm, part of Atria Senior Living Classical Series with support from Whistle Stop Bakery.

2018-2019 National Theatre Live Broadcasts Start At The MAC With JULIE, Today

National Theatre Live broadcasts return to the McAninch Arts Center, located at 425 Fawell Blvd. on the campus of College of DuPage, as part of the MAC's 2018-2019 Season. Kicking off the series today, Oct. 4 will be "Julie," a contemporary adaptation of August Strindberg's masterpiece, "Miss Julie."

Ben Foster Cast as Lead in Petr Jákl's Historical Action Drama MEDIEVAL

J.B.J Film and Elevated Films announced today that acclaimed actor Ben Foster has been cast as the lead in director Petr Jakl's historical action drama MEDIEVAL. Jakl wrote the screenplay and will produce alongside Cassian Elwes. The film will be produced with the support of private investors and many Czech state institutions and regions, including the Czech Film Fund, the Prague Film Fund, Creative Europe - Media and others. Principal photography is scheduled to begin this fall in Prague and the surrounding Czech countryside.
