South Street Headhouse District announces that 40+ bands will rock the city on Saturday, May 7, 2016 during the 4th Annual South Street Spring Festival.

The Edge Theater presents the regional premiere of 'Casa Valentina' April 22 through May 22 at 1560 Teller Street in Lakewood. Performances are Fridays, Saturdays and Monday, May 9 at 8 p.m.; Sundays at 6 p.m. No show on Sunday, May 8. Tickets are $24-$30 and available online at www.theedgetheater.com or by calling 303-232-0363.  

Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Managing Director Jeff Griffin, today announced that acclaimed actors (and married couple) Becky Ann Baker (currently featured on "Girls") and Dylan Baker (currently featured on "The Americans") have joined the cast of its upcoming production of Henrik Ibsen's PEER GYNT, directed by Tony Award winner John Doyle, who becomes the company's new Artistic Director in July.

Last night, at New Conservatory Theater Center's annual Season Announcement Party for subscribers, donors, artists and press, NCTC Founder & Artistic Director Ed Decker announced the line-up for the 2016-17 subscription season, which marks the 35th anniversary of the company. The Pasadena Playhouse presents the West Coast Premiere of CASA VALENTINA by four-time Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein, the iconic playwright of the Broadway hits Torch Song Trilogy, La Cage Aux Folles, Newsies and Kinky Boots. Valentina Kozlova's International Ballet Competition 2016 is April 25-3 at Symphony Space, 95tStreet & Broadway.  The event is dedicated toViolette Verdy. The beloved ballerina, choreographer, teacher, and writer was an early mentor of VKIBC and Valentina Kozlova.   Ms. Verdy was a judge in the first edition of VKIBC and later a competition honorary chairman.

?Paul Taylor-Mills will join Andrew Lloyd Webber's Really Useful Group as advisory producer. Whilst continuing to work independently on his own productions, Paul will also begin working on selected Really Useful Group titles, and supporting the programming and incubation of new work at the newly owned St James Theatre. 

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) has announced the cast for HADESTOWN, written by celebrated singer-songwriter Anais Mitchell and developed with and directed by the inventive two-time OBIE award-winning director Rachel Chavkin (Three Pianos; Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812).

Harvey Fierstein's Casa Valentina won a deserved four Tony nominations in 2014 when it played on Broadway. This is a fine example of an unusual play, one of surprising depth, that goes out of its way to hit a nerve or two. Although comical, Casa Valentina is a drama at the core, with some shades of kitchen-sink reality. MCC THEATER has announced that Beth Behrs, the star of CBS's '2 Broke Girls,' will lead the cast of the world premiere of Halley Feiffer's comedy A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Gynecologic Oncology Unit at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center of New York City.  Behrs will be joined by Obie winner Lisa Emery, most recently seen on the hit Netflix drama 'Jessica Jones,' as well as stage veteran Jacqueline Sydney.  Additional casting will be announced at a later date.  Obie winner Trip Cullman directs the production which begins previews on May 19, 2016 ahead of a June 7, 2016 opening night.  Tickets are now on sale at www.mcctheater.org.

The Old Globe just announced the complete cast and creative team of its production of Nick Payne's Broadway hit play CONSTELLATIONS, arriving April 9, directed by the Globe's own Richard Seer. BroadwayWorld is excited to report that Christian Coulson and Victoria Frings will star in the two-person play.
