Casting Announced for Bryony Kimmings' A PACIFIST'S GUIDE TO THE WAR ON CANCER

A casting update is announced today for the world premiere of new musical A Pacifist's Guide to the War on Cancer with book by Bryony Kimmings and Brian Lobel, music by Tom Parkinson and lyrics by Bryony Kimmings. Kimmings directs a cast including Naana Agyei-Ampadu, Amy Booth-Steel, Hal Fowler, Amanda Hadingue, Akiya Henry, Golda Rosheuvel, Rose Shalloo, Gareth Snook and Gary Wood.

Manhattan Theatre Club's American premiere of The Father, the new play by Moliere Award winner Florian Zeller, with a translation by two-time Tony Award winner Christopher Hampton (Sunset Boulevard, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, God of Carnage) and directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes (Doubt, Outside Mullingar, City of Conversation) will extend by one week at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street). The limited engagement, which opened on April 14 to critical raves, has been extended through Sunday, June 19.

Cost of Living will have its World Premiere at Williamstown Theatre Festival on the Nikos Stage from June 29 to July 10, 2016.

The Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition, April 26-30 at Symphony Space, NYC, ended in grand style with the announcement of medalists and winners of company contracts and school scholarships, and a Gala Performance with performances by guests Daniel Ulbricht and Erica Pereira of New York City Ballet dancing the Tschaikovsky Pas de Deux (in memory of Violette Verdy, to whom the 2016 competition was dedicated), Washington Ballet's Brooklyn Mack and Ayano Kimura in the pas de deux from Giselle, Act II, and Soo Bin Lee and Seung Hyun Lee dancing the Black Swan pas de deux.
