A casting update is announced today for the world premiere of new musical A Pacifist's Guide to the War on Cancer with book by Bryony Kimmings and Brian Lobel, music by Tom Parkinson and lyrics by Bryony Kimmings. Kimmings directs a cast including Naana Agyei-Ampadu, Amy Booth-Steel, Hal Fowler, Amanda Hadingue, Akiya Henry, Golda Rosheuvel, Rose Shalloo, Gareth Snook and Gary Wood.

Kimber Lee's beautiful drama tokyo fish story, directed by May Adrales, opens today, June 2 at The Old Globe. The production runs through June 26, 2016, in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Tickets start at $29.

Jayne Houdyshell and Reed Birney play husband and wife onstage- Erik and Deirdre Blake in Stephen Karam's THE HUMANS. The play, which originated at the Roundabout Theatre Company last year, earned six Tony nominations, including nods for the duo (Best Performance by an Actor/Actress in a Featured Role in a Play). More than 25 nominations of outstanding actors, directors, designers and ensembles were announced today by The Boston Theater Critics Association (BTCA), with winners to be revealed at the 34th Annual Elliot Norton Awards on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 7 PM, at Boston's Citi Performing Arts Center Shubert Theatre.

At 78, Jelko Yuresha has come to resemble a lion in repose. I recognize him immediately as I enter the lobby -- I am early, he is even earlier -- and what strikes me more than his subtle smile is his eyes. They are the eyes of a man who retains a zest for life though it is evident that little amuses him. This comes as no surprise. After all, he has seen much and traveled far. Manhattan Theatre Club's American premiere of The Father, the new play by Moliere Award winner Florian Zeller, with a translation by two-time Tony Award winner Christopher Hampton (Sunset Boulevard, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, God of Carnage) and directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes (Doubt, Outside Mullingar, City of Conversation) will extend by one week at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street). The limited engagement, which opened on April 14 to critical raves, has been extended through Sunday, June 19.

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) have just announced two additional productions as part of Manhattan Theatre Club's upcoming 2016-2017 season: The Broadway premiere of August Wilson's Jitney, directed by Tony Award winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson and the New York Premiere of Cost of Living, written by Martyna Majok and directed by Jo Bonney, in association with Williamstown Theatre Festival, Mandy Greenfield Artistic Director. Cost of Living will have its World Premiere at Williamstown Theatre Festival on the Nikos Stage from June 29 to July 10, 2016.

The Original Theatre Company and Salisbury Playhouse in association with Eastbourne Theatres will present the national tour of Emlyn Williams's psychological thriller, NIGHT MUST FALL, directed by Luke Sheppard and starring Gwen Taylor as Mrs Bramson.  The tour will begin at Devonshire Park Theatre in Eastbourne on 19 August, with a National press night on Wednesday 7 September at Salisbury Playhouse.
