The House Theatre of Chicago is proud to announce its 2016 - 2017 season opening production, the world premiere of Kara Davidson's A Comedical Tragedy for Mister Punch. Influenced by the long history of puppets, Punch and Judy, and directed by Shade Murray, the production runs September 2 - October 23 at the Chopin Theatre's Upstairs Theater, 1543 W. Division St.

Brown Paper Box Co. opened its 2016/2017 season with Mary'z with a 'Z,' a cover-to-cover tribute to 1972's Emmy-winning 'Liza With a 'Z' broadcast featuring BPBCo. members, alumni, and fresh faces presenting and reinventing Bob Fosse & Marvin Hamlisch's set list in its entirety. Mary'z with a 'Z' was an evening of song, dance, drag, and reinterpreted numbers by over a dozen of Chicago's finest artists. The show opens Saturday, March 5, and runs Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 PM, and Sundays at 2:00 PM through April 3 at The Greenhouse Theater Center in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood (2257 N. Lincoln Avenue). A preview is also scheduled for Friday, March 4, along with a special Monday night performance on March 7, both of which begin at 7:30. The Theatre School at DePaul University will present The Phantom Tollbooth, by Susan Nanus, based on the book by Norton Juster, and directed by special guest David Catlin (founding ensemble member, Lookingglass Theatre Company) as the first production of the 2014-2015 Chicago Playworks for Families and Young Audiences season. This production opens tonight, October 7, and runs through Saturday, November 15, 2014, at DePaul's historic Merle Reskin Theatre.

The Theatre School at DePaul University is pleased to present ARABIAN NIGHTS as the inaugural production in the Sondra & Denis Healy Theatre at The Theatre School building, located at Racine and Fullerton on the Lincoln Park Campus. The Healy Theatre is a 100-seat flexible theatre, located on the fourth floor of The Theatre School. Its distinguishing feature is the completely transparent north wall overlooking Fullerton Avenue. Dominic Cooke's adaptation of Arabian Nights is directed by Kevin Kingston, as part of The Theatre School's New Directors Series. It premieres on Friday, November 1, and runs through Sunday, November 10, 2013. Performances are Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2 PM. Previews are on October 30 and 31, at 7:30 PM.
