STARMITES is rocketing back to NYC!

Last December, Texas treasure Holland Vavra made her 54 Below debut in Cuz We're F#cking Talented, a concert where a handful of artists showed off their skills. Last night, she made a special trip from Houston to premiere her tribute to Frank Sinatra, Holland at the Sands: My Blue Eyed Sinatra. With her own brand of lovable, quirky humor and her golden instrument, Vavra made her solo cabaret debut a delightful spectacle.

Holland Vavra wondrously captures the majesty of Frank Sinatra in this incredible homage to the Chairman himself. Holland at the Sands: My Blue Eyed Sinatra will be presented tonight, July 14 at 9:30PM at 54 Below.

Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. This July, 54 Below celebrates The Frank Sinatra Birthday Centennial with three special musical events featuring some of the brightest stars from Broadway and cabaret including Tony Award nominees Tom Wopat and Bob Stillman, Bistro and MAC Award winner Jeff Harnar, Broadway's Sal Viviano, acclaimed jazz vocalist Erin McDougald and her quintet, and Holland Vavra with Anneliese van der Pol (Beauty and the Beast, Disney Channel's 'That's So Raven'), Tyce Green, Katie Rosen and Jared Zirilli in a recreation of Sinatra's legendary 1966 performance at the Sands Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

THE TOXIC AVENGER returns with the composer in tow!

Scott Coulter brought the music of Studio 54 to Below 54 last night as the club celebrated it's 3rd year on that famous NYC street. In the legendary club's heyday the guest  list was a who's who from the world of entertainment - Andy Warhol, Liza Minnelli, Halston, Elizabeth Taylor, Mick Jagger, Diana Ross, Brooke Shields, John Travolta, Michael Jackson - and the music played kept them dancing all through the night. It was dancing through the night at 54 Below yesterday and Max at the entry door was much more accommodating than those guards at the 1970 Studio 54.
