Prospect Theater Company, in partnership with The Good to Go Festival, continues its 2015/16 IGNITE Series at The TimesCenter (242 W 41st Street), with the GOOD TO GO SONGWRITER'S SHOWCASE, a concert celebrating new works-in-process created or co-created by women writers from around the country.

The Award-Winning Astoria Performing Arts Center (APAC) is pleased to announce the talented group of actors who will bring to life ASTORIA STORIES, directed by Artistic Director Dev Bondarin. ASTORIA STORIES is a collaborative production of plays and musicals celebrating the area of Queens that APAC calls home. The limited engagement will be at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 30-44 Crescent St (@30th Rd), in Astoria, Queens. (*Sunday February 21st @ 7:30pm performance will be at Museum of the Moving Image, 36-01 35 Avenue.) Performances begin Friday, February19 and continue through Saturday, February27.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) has announced details for the 2015 NYMF's NEXT BROADWAY SENSATION competition.

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 36 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2016 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing 19 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration. Puppetry from the U.S., Japan, Belgium and Colombia will be featured in the 2015 LA MAMA PUPPET SERIES set for today, November 5 to 29 on all four of La MaMa's stages in New York City. This biennial festival highlights new contemporary puppet theatre from many of the world's leading puppet artists during the month of November, including Heather Henson, Ty Defoe, Tom Lee, Koryu Nishikawa V, Loco7 Dance Puppet Theatre Company and Maiko Kikuchi.

National Alliance for Musical Theatre (Betsy King Militello, Executive Director) is thrilled to announce the cast for the SONGWRITERS SHOWCASE and the SONGWRITERS CABARET at the 27th ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS on Thursday, October 15 and Friday, October 16. After a sold-out premiere at Joe's Pub, Musical Theatre Factory will present a limited encore engagement of Shakina Nayfack in POST-OP on Tuesday October 13 & 20 at 8pm at the Musical Theatre Factory (250 w 40th St, 4th floor), Tickets are $20 at the door, $17 in advance and can be purchased at mtf.nyc.

Musical Theatre Factory (MTF), under the leadership of founding Artistic Director Shakina Nayfack, has announced its fall 2015 season which will support the development of over 15 new shows.

Tonight, September 22nd Joe's Pub and Musical Theatre Factory will present the highly anticipated premiere of Shakina Nayfack's sophomore solo show, POST-OP. This performance is a companion piece to Nayfack's autobiographical ONE WOMAN SHOW, which premiered at Joe's Pub in 2013, and subsequently played 54 Below, Sophie's @ Broadway, TheatreWorks Silicon Valley, Barrington Stage Company, and Musical Theatre Factory (MTF).
