Last night, May 28, 2018, Theatre Now New York presented its Fifth Annual Festival of 10-Minute Musicals, SOUND BITES 5.0, on The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center, to a sold-out house for the second year in a row. This annual, one-night only event showcases ten new musicals of up-and-coming musical theatre writing teams.

Spamilton, the comedic musical take on all things Hamilton and Broadway, began previews at its new home at the 47th Street Theater/The Puerto Rican Traveling Theater last night, June 2nd, with an official opening set for June 19th. The new theater on 47th Street, which is just a block from its inspiration and main punchline, will host the show for an open engagement. The Divine Miss M misses nothing and sent the company a lovely gift to welcome them to the neighborhood.

?Child film & TV actor Jesse Vanderveer and NYC-based theatre artist and former State Theatre acting camp participant Tristan J. Shuler will perform and speak to the State Theatre Acting Camp students on Monday, July 18th in the State Theatre's main hall. There will be two presentations:  11:30am - 12:30pm for the morning session students and 1:30pm - 2:30pm for the afternoon students.

Tickets are now available for Fracture Theatre Co.'s production of URINETOWN: THE MUSICAL. The show will be recreated in it's original Off-Broadway home, The American Theatre of Actors with a cast of 23. The show will run from October 16th to the 24th with rehearsals scheduled to begin Sept. 8th.
