Jesse Vanderveer & Tristan J Shuler Coming to State Theatre Acting Camp

Child film & TV actor Jesse Vanderveer and NYC-based theatre artist and former State Theatre acting camp participant Tristan J. Shuler will perform and speak to the State Theatre Acting Camp students on Monday, July 18th in the State Theatre's main hall. There will be two presentations: 11:30am - 12:30pm for the morning session students and 1:30pm - 2:30pm for the afternoon students.

About Jesse Vanderveer

Jesse Vanderveer (born December 21, 2005) is American child actor based out of Pennsylvania. The youngest of four children, he always loved being in front of the camera. Jesse started his acting career as the only child haunt actor in a local haunted house at the age of 7. He then began doing background work on network TV shows, and lead and supporting roles in short student films and independent feature films. Jesse has had featured background roles in recent episodes of NBC's Law & Order: SVU, the USA Network's Royal Pains and CBS' Blue Bloods. Jesse has also done some modeling and promotional work, being used in commercials, music videos and print ads.

About Tristan J. Shuler

Tristan J Shuler is a NYC Based Theatre Artist (actor, director, writer). He started out singing church music, studying gospel and classical choral at a young age. He was then introduced to musical theatre at The State Theatre Summer Acting Camp and attended The Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Performing Arts, majoring in theatre and vocal music. In New York City, he has trained formally at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, The Actors' Project NYC, Gotham Writers' Workshop, and with many other esteemed coaches and trainers. He now helps teach each summer at the State Theatre along with multiple other companies. Tristan has also been seen performing in various cabarets, musicals, and other shows in NYC. Recent theatre credits include: Tiny Tom (Urinetown, the Musical Off-Broadway at John Cullum Theater); Parker (INDIE! Off Broadway at June Havoc Theater); Lenny (Faith Under Fire at National Black Theater); Alexander (The Dreaming at The Chain); Prince Eric (The Little Mermaid at Zoellner Arts Center); Walter/Officer Frank/Narrator (Elise: a New Musical at the Planet Connections Theatre Festivity); Adam (What Happens Next: Dual Acceptance at The Tank in Times Square).
