The American Theatre Wing and the Village Voice just presented the winners of the 60th Annual OBIE Awards. The Public Theater's Hamilton by Lin-Manuel Miranda (including special citations for Andy Blankenbuehler, Thomas Kail, and Alex Lacamoire) received the OBIE Award for Best New American Theatre Work, which is accompanied by a $1,000 check. The Signature Theatre's Founding Artistic Director James Houghton received the OBIE Award for Sustained Achievement. Williamstown Theatre Festival has announced that Abe Koogler's Kill Floor is the winner of the 2014 L. Arnold Weissberger Award. The play, which will premiere at Lincoln Center Theater's LCT3 this fall, will be introduced to audiences at a reading at Williamstown Theatre Festival on Friday, August 7 at 3:00pm on the Nikos Stage. Lila Neugebauer will direct both the reading and LCT3 production.

Kapow-i GoGo is a theatrical experience built for an audience used to binge-watching Netflix. Continuing its buzzy run at The PIT, Kapow-I GoGo will do a hyper-marathon of all three parts - 9 episodes - almost 4 hours of content - on Sunday May 24th at 1pm. Intermissions will be plentiful, don't worry. The PIT's Love Bar is just outside the door to the theater, fully stocked and with Kapow-I Specialty drinks all afternoon. (Try the Kapow-i SuperPunch! or sample some free sugary breakfast cereal!).
