The Los Angeles LGBT Center has announced a special one-night-only performance by the internationally acclaimed singing string quartet Well-Strung today, December 8, at 8pm. The four performers, who specialize in pairing universally recognized classical pieces while singing pop music hits, return to the Renberg Theatre with their hit holiday show, A Well Strung Christmas, directed by Richard Jay-Alexander. The show features the group's own unique pop-classical spin on some of the most beautiful and traditional holiday favorites from "Silent Night" and "Sleighride" all the way to Dolly Parton's "Hard Candy Christmas," and everything in between.
To help community members get in the festive spirit, The Smith Center for the Performing Arts announced today it will present a variety of shows this holiday season that span a broad range of genres to entertain all audiences. Well-Strung, the innovative and eclectic New York City-based string quartet that derives their unique blend of vocals and strings by fusing classical music with the pop music of today, has announced that their latest album, Under the Covers will be released September 14, 2018. Their third album, Under the Covers will feature a collection of covers that combine everyone from Lady Gaga and Vivaldi to Queen and Rossini.
