Casting has been announced for the forthcoming West End production of Lee Hall's The Pitmen Painters, presented by Bill Kenwright. On 12 May 2009, as Billy Elliot the Musical celebrates its fourth birthday and its 1700th performance at the Victoria Palace Theatre in the West End, 12 year old Oliver Gardner from Bath will join the London cast making him the thirty-second boy to play the iconic role of Billy worldwide, first performed by Jamie Bell in the original film.

Today, December 1 2008, twelve year old Brad Wilson from Doncaster joins the London cast of Billy Elliot the Musical at the Victoria Palace Theatre to play the title role, making him the thirtieth boy to play the iconic role worldwide, first performed by Jamie Bell in the original movie.

To celebrate the show's Broadway premiere, 300,000 new tickets will be released for sale on 1 October for the London production of Billy Elliot the Musical, taking bookings to 24 October 2009.

Elton John and Lee Hall's multi award-winning Billy Elliot the Musical, directed by Stephen Daldry, will celebrate its 1000th performance at the Victoria Palace Theatre on October 4, 2007 after opening in March 2005. Additionally, two new Billys will join the cast shortly.

As Elton John and Lee Hall's awar-winning Billy Elliot The Musical approaches its second birthday, half a million new tickets will go on sale April 23, taking booking up until December 20, 2008.

Jackie Clune (International tour of Mama Mia, Taboo at the Venue) is set to join the cast of Billy Elliot: The Musical, Monday June 4. She will be taking the role of play Billy's Dance Teacher, Mrs. Wilkinson, shortly after the multi award-winning hit musical celebrates its second birthday.
