Nashville Symphony Presents 2011/2012 Symphony

The GRAMMY® Award-winning Nashville Symphony continues to celebrate its triumphant return to Schermerhorn Symphony Center with the announcement of its 2011/12 season. Beginning with a special appearance by Yo-Yo Ma on September 9, 2011, and culminating with a performance of Orff's enduringly popular Carmina Burana on May 31-June 2, 2012, the season will feature a wide array of world-class guest artists, including banjoist Béla Fleck, electric violinist Tracy Silverman, vocalists Wynonna and Kathy Mattea, trumpeter Chris Botti, guitarist Larry Carlton and The Cleveland Orchestra. One very special highlight for the orchestra will be a performance at Carnegie Hall on Saturday, May 12, 2012. Details will be announced in mid-February.

Make a date with 'America's Romantic Piano Sensation' this Valentine's Day as Grammy-nominated Jim Brickman brings his greatest hits to the Aronoff Center's Procter and Gamble Hall on Monday, February 14 at 8:00 PM. Jim will be joined by two special guests - vocalist Anne Cochran and electric violinist Tracy Silverman. With their unique warmth and humor, Jim and his guests will take fans on a musical journey, playing such hits as 'Valentine,' 'Love of My Life,' 'If You Believe,' 'Never Alone,' and more! The show is part of the Cincinnati Arts Association's 2010-11 'Let's Play' Season.
Nashville Symphony Plays Music Festival at Carnegie Hall, 5/7-5/12 '12

The Grammy®-winning Nashville Symphony has been invited to perform at New York City's Carnegie Hall in 2012 as part of the Spring for Music festival, a high-profile celebration of adventuresome programming among leading North American orchestras. The festival's organizers announced today that the Symphony is one of six ensembles scheduled to perform at Spring for Music's second annual event, which will take place May 7-12, 2012. The Nashville Symphony's Saturday-evening performance at Carnegie Hall will conclude the six-day festival.
