Young People's Chorus of New York City to Perform River to River Concert Friday, 6/20

Young People's Chorus of New York City (YPC) joins an all-star lineup of artists performing in 'Terry Riley and Friends,' part of Original Music Workshop (OMW) and LMCC's 'Ex-Situ' series of site-specific concerts in the 2014 River To River Festival. Composer and OMW Creative Director Paola Prestini has curated the concert, which takes place Friday, June 20, at 7:30 p.m. at Federal Hall (26 Wall Street). The event is free and open to the public.

John Tartaglia to Join Little Orchestra Society for THE COMPOSER IS DEAD, 5/17

On Saturday, May 17th, Tony nominated actor John Tartaglia, will join The Little Orchestra Society and its Music Director, James Judd, for the delightfully wry whodunit The Composer is Dead, a musical collaboration between New York Times best-selling children's author Lemony Snicket and his high school friend, composer Nathaniel Stookey. The performance, taking place at Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center, is part of The Little Orchestra Society's popular Happy Concerts for Young People series for children ages 6 to 12. The Orchestra will also premiere Kenji Bunch's Embrace featuring Tracy Silverman on electric violin. This concerto was written to celebrate the theme of ' family.'

Cincinnati Arts Association Announces Four New 2012-13 Season Shows

The Cincinnati Arts Association (CAA) has announced the addition of four shows to its 2012-13 Season at the Aronoff Center. From Elvis to The Beatles, from the comedy of Mark Twain to the interactive improv of twoWhose Line Is It Anyway? stars, these added shows are certain to continue CAA's long-standing mission of presenting an eclectic mix of alternative entertainment choices to Cincinnati's diverse audiences.

THE ULTIMATE DOO-WOP SHOW and JIM BRICKMAN Launch CAA's 2012-13 Season

The Cincinnati Arts Association (CAA) has announced the first two shows of its 2012-13 Season: The Ultimate Doo-Wop Show on Friday, November 16 at 8:00 PM and Jim Brickman: On A Winter's Night on Sunday, December 30 at 2:00 PM. Both shows are at the Aronoff Center's Procter & Gamble Hall.

Nashville Symphony Plays Music Festival at Carnegie Hall, Now thru 5/12

The Grammy®-winning Nashville Symphony performs at New York City's Carnegie Hall as part of the Spring for Music festival, a high-profile celebration of adventuresome programming among leading North American orchestras. The Symphony is one of six ensembles scheduled to perform at Spring for Music's second annual event, opening tonight, May 7 and running through May 12, 2012. The Nashville Symphony's Saturday-evening performance at Carnegie Hall will conclude the six-day festival.
