Playhouse Theatre Group, Inc. today received a $4857.14 grant from [United Illuminating/Southern Connecticut Gas/Connecticut Natural Gas] under Connecticut's Neighborhood Assistance Act tax credit program. The funding will help with energy efficient stage lighting.

'Never before have I felt so much love and support from so many people,' said Darlene Zoller, Playhouse on Park's co-artistic director and co-founder, of its 10th Anniversary Gala Fundraiser, which took place just last Saturday at the Gershon Fox Ballroom in Hartford.

Together we'll enjoy toasting the 10th Anniversary Season, a scrumptious brunch prepared by the amazing chefs at The Pond House and a panel discussion with Tracy, Sean and Darlene hosted by actor Rich Hollman.

Select guests arrived to Playhouse on Park for an exclusive event recently announcing Season Ten at the non-profit professional theater that was founded by Executive Director Tracy Flater and Co-Artistic Directors Sean Harris and Darlene Zoller.

The 19th annual West Hartford Mayor's Charity Ball will be held May 12, 2018 at West Hartford Town Hall. The gala will benefit two local charities, Playhouse on Park and The Town That Cares. Proceeds from last year's event covered important operating expenses for Playhouse youth programming, and helped The Town That Cares meet a significant uptick in requests for the Food Pantry.

The West Hartford Mayor's Charity Ball Board of Directors invites members of the community to help prepare for the 19th annual Mayor's Charity Ball, to be held May 12, 2018 at West Hartford Town Hall.

Select guests at Playhouse on Park theater this past Sunday night were the first to learn of the 2017-2018 Mainstage Series. Joined by Executive Director Tracy Flater and Co-Artistic Director Darlene Zoller, Co-Artistic Director Sean Harris spoke from the stage with fervor: 'We are passionate about these pieces, and that resonates [with] the cast, crew, and design team. And because we're so intimate here, it'll bleed over into the audience. [Theater] becomes a communal experience, a beautiful event.' The invitation is now open for individuals who are interested in joining the Young Professional Advisory Board at Playhouse on Park. The YPAB was formed in Season Seven and will reconvene with the start of Season Eight.

Playhouse on Park is thrilled to announce the 2016-17 Main Stage Season. 'We've chosen seven diverse productions that are sure to educate, entertain and challenge our audiences. We know there is something for everyone,' says Tracy Flater, Executive Director of Playhouse on Park, West Hartford's only non-profit professional theater.

Playhouse On Park is forming an Advisory Board for Young Professionals. The purpose of the Junior Board of Directors is to provide increased representation of young theatergoers, engaging members of the community with a specific focus on the appropriate demographic, assist with fundraising and marketing efforts, support the overall mission of the Playhouse, and to act as ambassadors for the theatre. There will be an information session on Wednesday, January 13th from 6pm - 7pm at Playhouse on Park, 244 Park Road, West Hartford, CT. RSVPs requested.

The 15th Annual Mayor's Charity Ball successfully raised both funds and awareness for Playhouse on Park and HopeWorks, Inc. On the evening of Saturday, May 10, West Hartford's signature event welcomed a record number of attendees and culled over $53,000 for the two worthy non-profit organizations. The Grand Tent, courtesy of Taylor Rental Party Plus, looked beautiful on the lawn of Town Hall. Guests enjoyed a gourmet meal by Max's Catering and danced the night away to the swing band Eight to the Bar.

The Mayor's Charity Ball 2014 promises to be the event of the year, and two special guests will be making an appearance at the gala. John Mastroianni, Director of Bands at Hall High School and CT's 2014 Teacher of the Year, will be this year's Guest of Honor. Another special guest will be Jim Altman of FOX CT, who will be acting as Auctioneer.

You're invited! What has been called 'The Birthday Celebration of the Year' is back! Co-founder and Executive Director, Tracy Flater, and co-founder and Artistic Director, Darlene Zoller, both have birthdays in February and combined they are turning 101 years old! After the success of their 99th Birthday last year, the creative duo has decided to celebrate again by throwing a 101st Birthday Bash on Friday, February 15th, 2013. The celebration is open to the general public, but there is one catch -- attendees must bring a birthday gift from the Playhouse on Park 'wish list'! 'Wishes' range anywhere from toilet paper and office supplies to a portable sound system and office space so don't be afraid to join the fun!

Directed by Peter James Cook, Charles Ludlam's 'The Mystery of Irma Vep' opened to a packed house Friday at, West Hartford's own, Playhouse on Park. Following the Opening Night performance, the cast and crew gathered at Rizzuto's Wood-Fired Kitchen and Bar to celebrate and unwind.
