Lane Czaplinski will assume the position of director of performing arts at the Wexner Center for the Arts, effective June 1. Czaplinski will succeed Charles Helm, the Wex's current performing arts director, who will retire June 30 after 26 extraordinary years with the center.
Undermain Theatre presents a Dallas premiere, REALLY, by Jackie Sibblies Drury. REALLY will be produced at Undermain's home in Deep Ellum - 3200 Main Street. Directed by Carson McCain, opening night will be Saturday, April 15th with a curtain time of 7:30 pm. Preview performances will be on April 12th, 13th, and 14th at 7:30 pm. Performed by Elaine Davis, Tavish Miller and Kaneza Schaal, Really is a play about grief, intimacy and the difference between goodness and greatness seen through the lens of photography. A black woman takes pictures of her artist boyfriend's mom. As they jockey for a claim to him, they try to redefine themselves in the wake of his legacy.
