Philadelphia-based The Jost Project is performing two concerts with music from their CD Can't Find My Way Home (Dot Time Records, based in New York and Europe). Tonight, January 24 at 9 pm they will be at Steel City Coffee House, 203 Bridge Street in Phoenixville with Phyllis Chapell opening for them at the Steel City concert at 8 pm.

On Friday January 24 at 9 pm they will be at Steel City Coffee House, 203 Bridge Street in Phoenixville with Phyllis Chapell opening for them at the Steel City concert at 8 pm. On Friday, January 31 from 8 to 11:30 p.m. they will be at Chris' Jazz Cafe, 1421 Sansom Street in Philadelphia.

The highly respected and multi-talented DePue Brothers Band will brighten the holiday stage with their show "A Magical Grassical Christmas" on Thursday, December 12, at 7:30 p.m. Taking place at Temple Performing Arts Center (TPAC), located at Broad Street and Polett Walk on Temple University's Main Campus in Philadelphia, it is their debut performance at TPAC and also the launch of their new CD When It's Christmas Time, which combines their classical roots with blue grass, jazz, rock, fusion and more. Seven of the world's greatest five-string banjo players will stop Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at Jorgensen Center on the UConn campus to hold a "New York Banjo Summit" that ranges from solos and duets to full-tilt banjo blowouts. These experts have united for a limited East Coast tour to perform with an acoustic band in conventional and unexpected ways and covering the traditional bluegrass and old-time country to the more progressive jazz, classical and rock genres. The show starts at 8 p.m.

The Public Theater's $40 million revitalization of its downtown home at Astor Place was unveiled October 4, 2012 and continues to be celebrated through a series of events designed to engage the entire New York community and marking a rededication to its founding principles. The eight weeks of community events will be anchored by a free block party and open house today, October 13, 12pm-5pm, during which Lafayette Street between Astor Place and East 4th Street will be partially closed to traffic and The Public's historic building will be open to all.

In a blazing Labor Day finale to Rite of Summer's 2012 season, Todd Reynolds, 'New York's reigning Jazz and Classical Violinist' (The New Yorker), and fiddle-player of choice for avant-gardists everywhere, has assembled a stellar cast of characters to explore the vortex where bluegrass, electronica, minimalism and classical music swirl. Featuring music of glass harmonica virtuoso Jonny Rodgers, avant-bluegrass guitarist Jordan Tice (The Jordan Tice Trio), and the singular percussionist Mathias Kunzli, currently on tour with Regina Spektor. This will take place on Colonels' Row tonight, September 3rd.
