Hunnicutt, Mike Farrell will move from operating theater to live theater when he takes the starring role in the Alhambra Theatre & Dining's production of On Golden Pond. Opening April 1 for just four weeks, Farrell will join other M*A*S*H legends Gary Burghoff, Jamie Farr and Loretta Switt among Alhambra's prominent list of guest stars.

The 48th season for the Alhambra Theatre & Dining promises a diverse nine-show slate with seven shows never before seen at the Alhambra. It will also feature three Broadway and pop culture veterans: Lisa Whelchel, who starred as Blair in NBC's 'Facts of Life,' 80's pop icon Debbie Gibson, and Charles Shaughnessy, who rose to prominence on the CBS hit, 'The Nanny.' Season Packages and individual-show tickets went on sale to the general public on October 1, said Managing Partner Craig Smith. Smith also announced the Alhambra's new website, making access to the Alhambra simpler and more dynamic.
Skip E. Lowe, the comic, raconteur and perennial TV host whose weekly public access cable program has been airing in Los Angeles, New York and other major markets for more than 35 years--the longest in television history--and is generally credited as the inspiration for the Martin Short character “Jiminy Glick,” died in his home at Kingsley Manor Apartments in Hollywood on Monday, Sept. 22. He was 85 and had been suffering from emphysema and other respiratory ailments, though he never smoked, but blamed years of working as a comic in smoke-infested nightclubs. Lowe had conducted more than 6,000 interviews, often two a week, with guests that included Orson Welles and Bette Davis.

Generation W will present the Jacksonville premiere and benefit performance of THE CIRCLE. THE CIRCLE is written by and stars nationally known actress, Tina Lifford and directed by Shirley Jo Finney, who has won multiple awards for her special talent and eye for storytelling. The Alhambra Theatre & Dining, the longest running professional dinner theater in the United States is quickly turning into one of its busiest venues. In additional to its traditional slate of Broadway-quality theatrical productions, the Alhambra will be host to two concerts, a two-day show starring Tina Lifford of NBC's Parenthood, which is a fundraiser for Generation W, and a fundraiser for First Coast No More Homeless Pets.
