BWW Interviews: College Students in the Professional Acting World - Eileen Cella & Maya Tepler

This spring two University of Pennsylvania students will perform in profession Philadelphia productions. An interview with Eileen Cella who will play Carrie in Carousel at Plays and Players and May Tepler will play Anita in Girls Night: the Musical at the Kimmel Center's Innovation Studio.

Act II continues its commitment to creating world-class theatre in an intimate venue with a four-show subscription season that includes John & Jen, an original musical about the complexities of family relationships; The Tempest, Shakespeare's most magical play reimagined for Act II's cozy space; The Pride of Parnell Street, the first American production of this powerful, touching drama by renowned Irish playwright Sebastian Barry; and Art, a razor-sharp look at art and friendship from the author of the Broadway hit God of Carnage.

The four-show lineup kicks off with the laugh-out-loud 2008 Tony winner for Best Revival, Boeing-Boeing by Marc Camoletti, followed by Ernest Thompson's beloved classic, On Golden Pond. Act II is also proud to present the world premiere of Philadelphia playwright Bruce Graham's newest play, Any Given Monday, a co-production with Theatre Exile; followed by Neil Bartram and Brian Hill's new musical about friendship, The Story of My Life.

Act II Playhouse's IRON KISSES Begins Rehearsals On 2/17

Act II Playhouse is set to begin rehearsals on Feb. 17 for the third show in its 10th Anniversary Season, James Still's family-themed play, Iron Kisses. Associate Artistic Director Harriet Power directs this highly theatrical drama, in which a brother and sister play themselves and, at various times, both of their parents.
