-University of Southern Indiana Theatre launches its 2009 season with Athol Fugard's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, Master Harold and the Boys, directed by Elliot Wasserman, chair of the Department of Performing Arts at USI. The play runs February 19 through March 1 at the Mallette Studio Theatre on the University of Southern Indiana campus.

LONE STAR LOVE, a new musical comedy starring Academy Award nominee Randy Quaid in his Broadway debut as Colonel John Falstaff, has announced full casting as it begins rehearsals this week for its Seattle engagement at The 5th Avenue Theatre, September 8 - 30. LONE STAR LOVE will open on Broadway on Monday, December 3 at New York's Belasco Theatre; previews will begin Thursday, November 1.

PS Classics will record the cast album of the recent much-acclaimed production of Lone Star Love on March 2nd. Directed by Michael Bogdanov (Olivier Award-winner for The War of the Roses), LONE STAR LOVE is inspired by the play The Merry Wives of Windsor by William Shakespeare, conceived and adapted by John L. Haber, with music and lyrics by Jack Herrick, and contributions from Michael Bogdanov, Bland Simpson and Tommy Thompson. Randy Skinner (2001 Tony® nominee, 42nd Street) is choreographer. Discussions are underway for a commercial transfer.

Off-Broadway's hit musical LONE STAR LOVE stars Clarke Thorell and Julie Tolivar (Hairspray) perform the ballad 'Count on My Love' on ABC's 'The View' on Tuesday, January 18th.
