Two-time Tony Award nominee and celebrated screen actress Dana Ivey (Sunday in the Park with George, Heartbreak House, Driving Miss Daisy) is set to appear as Aunt Mary, the steadfast no nonsense matriarch of the Drexel Biddle family in Walt Disney's The Happiest Millionaire, celebrating its 50th anniversary in a concert benefitting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Joe's Pub at The Public Theater welcomes Lesley Ann Warren (Rogers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, Drat! The Cat!, 110 in the Shade, Dream) and Joyce Bulifant (The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Airplane!), as they reprise their roles from the 1967 movie musical spectacular, Walt Disney's The Happiest Millionaire, celebrating its 50th anniversary in a concert benefitting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

I once had the honour of interviewing the legendary Tommy Steele at the New Wimbledon Theatre. It was the venue where Half A Sixpence was first performed, and the show - which acted as a star vehicle for the talented young performer - became a classic piece of British musical theatre.

Actor Alex Bourne's past musical work ranges from Kiss Me, Kate to Chicago and We Will Rock You. After playing Daddy Warbucks on tour, he's now back in the role for the West End run of Annie, which begins previews at the Piccadilly Theatre on May 23.

Initial casting is announced today (20 April 2017) for Qdos Entertainment's London Palladium production of Dick Whittington.  Following the success of Cinderella last year, the production will see the return of Julian Clary who will play Spirit of the Bells, Paul Zerdin as Idle Jack and Nigel Havers as Captain Nigel.  Further casting and creative team will be announced shortly.

Actor Ian Bartholomew's work ranges from Mrs Henderson Presents and Shakespeare in Love to Radio Times and Into the Woods. He's currently starring as eccentric playwright Chitterlow in West End hit Half a Sixpence.

Broadcasting legend Danny Baker is going on tour for the first time ever in his illustrious and varied career.  'Cradle To The Stage' begins in Leeds at the City Varieties on 1 February 2017, as part of a 35 date tour across the UK, culminating at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire on 1 April. Tickets are on sale now.
